Not sure who they're overrated by. The selectors perhaps, certainly no one up here in Yorkshire! The only thing that gives me hope is that Mr Graves isn't one to pull pinches and he may decide enough is enough with the coaching staff. That still wouldn't make them great players but they may at least be competitive with decent coaching. County cricket has taken the blame yet again today but this was a post I read from the YCCC White Rose Forum: Here we go again ... Team England have TOTAL control over their players .... yet is the counties fault Most of the England team have hardly played for anyone but England ... yet its the counties fault Team Englands changed their team & tactics at the last minute .. yet it the counties fault Team England (& the Sky team) are like a spoilt kid who wants everything & when things don't go right still blame someone else (the counties) They will only be happy when they've completely wrecked the county game & then they'll moan about there not being any players coming through. p.s. My opinion of Team England is best shown by a non Yorkshire bowler .. namely Stephen Finn .... in the last Ashes series in Aus he was truely awful ... England spent the whole winter trying & failing to get him bowling well .... Finn returned to England (& Middlesex coach Angus Fraser) as an absolute basket case ... it took Gussy weeks to get Finn back to bowling well & taking wickets for fun Needless to say I agree with every word!

I think the issue is over-coaching. Nitpicking at data instead of being free. Too stifled is the thinking. Players should be free to express themselves (like KP :--D)

This was my point about Ballance yesterday. He's a good cricketer when he's free to play his shots for Yorkshire. This is nothing to do with county cricket being a poor standard like our Aussie friend suggested, just less pressure on him from above, allowing him to play his game. Gillespie has the typical Aussie ethos, to let players play how they want and do what they want as long as they stay within the boundaries of acceptability. The ECB could do worse than give him a job, only I don't think he'd take it, fortunately from a Yorkshire perspective

Does the general public care all that much about crikey with football being so popular? Do the T20 leagues get good attendance? For us, from the outside it seems English cricket is all about the Ashes.

The poms absolutely deserve all the criticism they are getting. The hype and chest thumping they do, specially their ex players, is nothing short of disgrace. I would cove to see more people ridiculing these poms. I wanna see the poms crying
