He bowled brilliantly yesterday. When almost every other bowler went over 6 rpo, he showed total control and even deceived Steven Smith couple of times to induce an edge. He has realized that he can take wickets with traditional off spin and varying the pace, that is a huge plus for him. Amazing show and that too away from subcontinent, hope he goes on to bigger things from here as he is just 27.

Hes more confident,positive and keeping it simple.I always saw in mould of Swann then Ajmal/Narine that he tries to becomes sometimes due to his variations

Even in the SF, he beat Smith himself in the flight a few times and got the inside edge. In the test series, nothing like that ever happened. Something changed post the Aus test series. Maybe he has learnt the way to do it or maybe fear of getting dropped pushed him to do well. :haha: He has a habit of losing whatever progress he makes. Hope he stays like this and works on that arm ball. Imagine a swinging arm ball on a Chennai or Mumbai turner when he opens the bowling. Would be fun. Let's see if he does well in IPL.
