This has to be the best game or most awaited game from here on. till q/f is over. Who you think is going to win this one? ABDV and Sangakara are both on top among most runs. One of them will have to concede and go back home. I feel South Africa might just win, but Sri Lanka does have a really good batting going right now to pose some threat. Yup, looking forward to this match. My money is on SA just cuz Lankans are hit with injuries and their bowling is too weak. Apart from Malinga there is no one to make an impact. Lanka is good at chasing so they'll look forward to bowl first and SA will think of batting first. SCG is where Lanka-Aus game was so stadium will be packed with Lankan crowd. Damn, I think its even steven.

I hope it happens because of what happened between Nz and SA last world cup. If SA win q/f, it might be the belief they need to go on to win the world cup. Lanka chased down 300+ against England with loss of only one wicket.. they also came close chasing in Australia game. Dont think Lanka can rely on their bowling to restrict against saffers chase. It'll be a blunder on Lanka's part if they dont field first after winning the toss.

They don't know how to take the game by scruff of its neck. like Australia does. Moment one wicket falls they just shut the shop down and scratches around with no feet movement. They just have the choking in the back of their mind all the time i guess. Each wicket is like each breath when python squeezes you. They have to alter their mindset and continue playing confidently. They are not good at survival game like the hardened Aussies. REmember atleast 3 times Australia struggled in 2003 world cup. Against Pakistan, Against England, Against NZ... they came back with resolve.

Others should go after bowling.

Ironically, that is one the reasons why South Africa have done (and will do) well in Test matches in India than Australia has.

Crowd gets to them in world cups. Indians thrive when there is huge crowd. Conduct the same world cup match infront of empty stadium. SA might do well:cantstop:

SA "let it happen", India are somewhere in between leaning more towards SA than Australia. Therefore, in India - Australia are "over attacking" which creates more opportunities for India who are patiently waiting for hyenas. South Africa vs India turns into who is a better hyena. India touring Australia makes India seem like running with Usain Bolt where India is behind the 8-ball! One of the reasons we even managed to salvage a couple of Test matches and get close to winning one was because India "tried to set the pace".

The only time Aussies had 3 genuine world class seam bowlers they clinched the series in India . SA unlike Aussies always had quality seam attack in recent times (particularly Steyn) which is the primary reason.Also unlike the current generation Aussie batsmen the likes of Smith Amla Kallis De Villiers are excellent players of spin which is a key factor as well imo
