I have not seen the entire match but looks to me that SA has valid reasons to be unhappy. Firstly it is great disadvantage to bat 1st in a curtailed game. Secondly curtailment has happened after half of your overs are through and you had different plans and building up to a different total. Thirdly, moist almost damp ground which made it impossible to grip the ball. Now don't come to me asking for excuses for SA. But they have enough reason to feel aggrieved.

Rain killed their momentum but match was in their hand at end but they choked.

Rain forecast was there to see for everyone. A team which has capability of chasing would go for batting second in such scenarios. Since SA doesn't have it, AB had no option but to go for bowling in second innings. Wet ball is hard to grip and never swings but his bowlers didn't do badly. In the end their fielding couldn't hold itself and they missed 5-6 chances and that costed them. NZ are deserving winners and a better team.

2 easy missed run outs and 2 dropped catches made the difference. yes they were hard done by the rain but the difference was the missed chances.

This is all part and parcel of the game that cricket is. We all know how good SA are at chasing, so this is the best that they could get in a rain affected game.

SA regardless of rain or not they were not going to chase any decent total. They made the right call . They also had a very good total. Miller's explosive knock ensured rain did not hurt them much. But they came in with a predictable plan against Baz. Should have opened with Tahir. No out of the box thinking. Numerous fielding errors. Also some poor bowling rotation.
