someone
You will laugh but Steve Smith has underbowled himself this tournament' date=' he is actually a good T20 bowler where you can protect his 'pie ball an over'[/quote'] For the 3rd spinner role, Smith maybe alright. But RR just have one capable spinner and are struggling to get the 2nd spinner in their team. Smith aren't the 2nd spinner for the team.

Having an awful spinner is just as bad as having no spinner. Still feel someone should have picked up Zampa or Boyce from Australia at least. Both had GREAT Big Bash tournament last season. someone
RCB is the toughest team RR got to play. But if RR are to win it, they have to beat the best out there. RCB have the best opening bowler in the world, so our openers have to work very hard. And then all of their batsman are capable of smashing from ball 1. So our bowlers must get their plan right from the very start.
G_B_
RR should bat first and do play Tambe, the ground in pune is one of the biggest in India in terms of boundary length. It will suit him. On paper RCB are a better outfit. The fielding from RR needs to improve drastically, not to mention their bowlers having discipline of wides and no balls. someone
It's a good point about fielding. We did very bad fielding against KKR. Dropped catches, wild throws which gave unnecessary runs and poor ground fielding. The bowling was already known to stumble under pressure with plenty of wides and extra given. Both departments fail, under any opposition pressure. So our fielding also deserves greater attention alongside with bowling.
someone
And Samson hasn't impressed me at all, he is a poor keeper, has made plenty of mistakes as keeper. And his out-of form batting. Is hype getting to his head? He doesn't even have great domestic record. Imo, if he doesn't improve soon, he will be like another Patriv Patel. Similar case with Binny, what is his role exactly? Doesn't bowl at all, cannot bat properly so he is just there to make up the numbers. Both these players need to show their worth in the upcoming match. I think he hasn't expanded his batting abilities . That is why he looks stuck.

someone
One of the most atrocious onfield performance by any team 26 extras. You guys got away thanks to the massive score. Absolutely true. We didn't deserve to win against KKR, they were 130-3 in 13 overs. And if I am honest, we don't even deserve the top 4. We had 2 last ball wins, one total collapse by KKR, and would probably have lost against RCB chasing 200 in that rain affected match. But that's past, it's a new beginning again in playoffs and a good chance to win it. Need 3 good games. And Faulkner is the most crucial player for RR, he is our best finisher and our 2nd main bowler. RR need good performances from him in both batting and bowling. So it's important that Faulkner improves big time in the upcoming game.

He was in poor form at the start then they demoted him but when he came back to form, he should have been promoted at 3. Likes of Smith have also failed while batting at 3. Is he really a good keeper? I watched many RR matches this season and each time, see him making mistakes.
