Surely BD is an improved side at home but hope that does not change the mind of selectors. I will be dissapointed if the likes of Dhoni, Kohli, Dhawan, Rohit and Rahane play in the upcoming Bangladesh series. We must try our back up and no better time just after the world cup against a relatively weak opposition in a familiar playing conditions. If that means a loss, I am ready for it. It was not an India A team too. It was somewhere between Indian main team and India A team. It included the likes of Yadav, Mohit, Axar Patel, Binny, Rahane, Rayudu and Raina who were all in the World Cup squad plus the likes of Pujara, Uthapa, Mishra, Tiwary who are more fringe India players than A team players. Kohli, Dhoni and Ashwin were the notable absentees.

Except Raina, no one was regular in the ODI side back then. Even Raina was dropped from the ODI team that time only to make a comeback in that series. World cup happened 10 months after that tour. What has that got to do with it? :hmmm:

Why would u send full strength team :facepalm: We have 2 big test series against SA and Srl coming up .Just a tough IPL season over and this will only result in burn out . All our key players like Kohli Rahane Ashwin Shami Yadav should be wrapped in cotton wool .Particularly the bowlers , give as much rest as possible before Lanka tour

Both Yadav and Aaron have to be there. We have to think from a long term perspective and allow these bowlers to develop. Taylor and Gabriel were fantastic against England the other day. I can see Yadav and Aaron playing a similar role in the future. Also, I dont think Yadav's selection is guaranteed. So if he's not playing, he may find it difficult to retain his place. I'll rest Shami if he's still recuperating and replace Jadeja. Will experiment a bit for the ODIs. Hooda/Iyer should be tested.
