If he is still god, I will kick out Jadeja from test team and play Ojha instead. Shami should be rested and Umesh, Varun and a left arm seamer like Suyal should be tried. This is one series which we can use to find new talents to fill the gaps in our test team.

We should try out better spin options on tests[/quote'] No. Jadeja is as good a spinner as any in these conditions. He averages 19 in India in tests. Also, there are no better spinners in India, ATM.

Last time he played test in India, he outbowled Ojha easily even when Ojha had his old action.

Our best batsman against spin is vijay, middle order has been struggling against spin i wonder if it would be worth bringing in Gambhir and let him bat at 3 or 4 now that Kohli is going not going to be there. Another guy who murders spinner is Y pathan. Yes i know he isnt test material but dont know if its worth having him on bench for BD and SL test series.

moniker Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 The Ojha in the squad I listed was Praggy. Always thought Saha was regarded the better WK than Naman , I would like Naman in the ODI set up though. Also in VKs absence Ishant would be skipper :cantstop: forgot that OMFG! Yeah, forgot that. :facepalm:
MK55 Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Will play 5 bowlers. Yadav, Aaron, Ishant/BK, Ashwin, Jadeja or new spinner who can bat decently. We need to persevere with bowlers like Aaron (now that he is likely to be considered exclusively for tests) and Yadav if we want to progress in test cricket. Also, 5 bowlers will help reduce the workload of bowlers considering the conditions. Test team is still developing. Only replacement in batters will be for Kohli as he has requested rest. Dhawan might do well in the sub continent but not a big fan of him in tests. Although he might not be replaced, we could possibly have an aggressive opener as a back up.
