Yoda-esque Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 I started watching cricket because of Ashraful, 'nuff said. We better be scared of this BD side.
adi B Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 To give ur sorry team the biggest phainta of their lives :hehe:
HippoSucks Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Why would the former world champions get effected by the loss of an ODI minnow against Bangladesh. :winky: Now drawing out the test would be badd, wouldnt it be? World Champions in 2011, this is 2015. Although we are still the second ranked ODI team, even 1 loss against Bangladesh would do much harm. Considering that Bangladesh aren't such a bad ODI team anymore (at least compared to some other top 8 - or now top 9 - nations like Pakistan), it makes sense to go with the main team. For tests, even if we sent out A/B team batsman, they weren't going to get out without making a big score on the predictably flat pitches that will be used. I don't see the reason behind sending our main team batsman. Drawing the test wouldn't be terrible at all IMO.

It would be bad considering you are a top 5 ranked team in tests iirc and there is no excuse for not being able to get bangla out twice in 5 days.

HippoSucks Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 It would be bad considering you are a top 5 ranked team in tests iirc and there is no excuse for not being able to get bangla out twice in 5 days. Pakistan was a top 5 ranked team when they played Bangladesh and couldn't get them out twice in 5 days either. On these pitches it will be mainly up to Ashwin to pick up the wickets. If he does well then we can win the test. On the pitches they rolled out for the World Cup or the Australia tests or the first test between Pakistan and Bangladesh, even Bangladesh is able to score 450+ in tests on it.

Nah, we actually gave them the beating of their life in the second test. and dont you guys claim nowadays that you have a better bowling line up than Pak? :)
HippoSucks Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Nah, we actually gave them the beating of their life in the second test. and dont you guys claim nowadays that you have a better bowling line up than Pak? :) You drew the first test, and this is a one match test series (the one India is playing against Bangladesh). So if we're unlucky it can easily be a draw. It is a widely accepted fact that we have the best bowling attack in the subcontinent (even though that isn't much to be proud of) but that doesn't mean they can cause wonders on a pitch that will offer little to the bowlers. The Bangladesh batting line up is rather good, especially in favorable conditions.

Has no seen someone taking india serious in bowling even in recent times. Maybe i am not in touch with cricket much as you. I will be happy if indian side manages to bowl out bangla twice even with a draw.
swatpulla Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Nah, we actually gave them the beating of their life in the second test. and dont you guys claim nowadays that you have a better bowling line up than Pak? :) Quite easily. But still, that's nothing to be proud of cuz Pak bowling attack is as mediocre as they come.
rahulrulezz Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Nah, we actually gave them the beating of their life in the second test. and dont you guys claim nowadays that you have a better bowling line up than Pak? :) UYadav is better than any of your khachar bowlers. He alone is enough for Bangladesh
Invasion 550 Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Quite easily. But still' date=' that's nothing to be proud of cuz Pak bowling attack is as mediocre as they come.[/quote'] Then you shouldnt be so insecure about a win against the mighty tigers. :giggle:
swatpulla Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Then you shouldnt be so insecure about a win against the mighty tigers. :giggle: They are more like mighty kittens. Bangladesh's true standing should be exposed in their upcoming series.

jf1gp_1 Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 I think what OP doesnt understand is that our so called full strength test squad is inexperienced. As far as ODIs goes i was hoping to see a few changes. We lack a power player at 7.
vvvslaxman Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 For you then ranked 3 NZ of 2010 were minnows. Ranked 7 PAK is minnow (when PAK came) Ranked 6 WES of 2013 when they lose a series 3-2 were minnows We performed so good in 2012-2013 two years. Suddenly 2014 bad season people forgot all. I am 100% sure if BD done well in 2015 even in 2016. And suddenly a defeat VS ZIM in 2017 all Indians will be saying all successes were fluk. I mean back in mid 2000s it was OK that we used to win 1/2 games playing 2 series VS Big nations. But now manage to whitewash them. Still... Everything you have done is in freaking one dayers..for which you were already qualified in 1999. How would you justify your test status based on your ODI wins. Dont forget you have lost to teamslike Honkong, Scotland.
HippoSucks Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Well i cant argue with the unlucky part. Widely accepted fact in india? Has no seen someone taking india serious in bowling even in recent times. Maybe i am not in touch with cricket much as you. I will be happy if indian side manages to bowl out bangla twice even with a draw. Did I say people take our bowling seriously? No, I just said that India has the best bowling attack in all formats in the subcontinent. That statement in no way implies that we are a good bowling attack, just better than other rubbish bowling line ups. However in ODIs I think a bowling line up comprised of Yadav, Shami, B Kumar and Ashwin is world class. In tests however we have a long way to go.
