zen Posted June 17, 2015 Author Posted June 17, 2015 Spy Who Loved Me tie scene (copied in Bollywood; and was redone in QoS iirc) hLcXO8eCPV8
vayuu1 Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 The New James Bond is nothing but a british Jason Bourne.....if then yes but overall Bourne has nothing on Bond The thing with Jason Bourne is you, you can relate easily to him, quietly doing his stuff, unlike bond who is just a glorified bratt, who is a womeniser, that is a biggest weakness of a spy, if he can't control his lust, any spy who doesn't have control over his feelings will eventually be honey trap and assassinated, these bonds are the ones that belongs to fictional world, while these Jason Bourne 's are the real kickaas, beside that, he looks too sophisticated for a spy, u need a bad aas not a jack aas as spy, who the phack gave girl's such as money penny and pussy galore, I mean pussy galore seriously? ,if she is PS than what does that makes you an aaswhole.

zen Posted June 18, 2015 Author Posted June 18, 2015 Jason Bourne is amongst my fav too. However, I am not sure if I can just pick up a Bourne movie and watch it. On the other hand, many of the Bond films (esp. Connery's) are timeless Talking about names, 007 films are known for having characters with unusual (or at time double meaning) names. The villains too have names such as Oddjob, Jaws, etc. Below is a cool demonstration from Oddjob: iHFqDjzkyQQ

Offcourse, connery as bond was exceptional, so were, brosnan and moore , but yeah nobody comes close to connery as bond .

It is opposite of Bond, rated amongst the best spy films of all time, and one of my favs :nice: bD_ubBlZ-FM
diga Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 ^Read the books.. both Bourne Identity & the spy who came in from the cold are classics.

zen Posted June 29, 2015 Author Posted June 29, 2015 Currently, I am watching the mini-TV series - Fleming, the man who would be Bond, on Netflix .... Watched a couple of episodes (total 4 episodes) and it is recommended for those who like stories set in the WW2 period
zen Posted July 26, 2015 Author Posted July 26, 2015 Awesome soundtrack of the Living Daylights (John Barry going out with a bang): ARR51SFcm5Y vrHRFGi6ULQ R8QZtbFc4KI Sjz3XIsIODM
coffee_rules Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 The initial Bond movies are overrated, esp Dr. No and From Russia with love. My Top movies would be:Thunderball, Gold Finger and You Only Live twice - rest from Connery are ordinarySpy Who Loved Me, For your Eyes Only - Roger MooreLiving Daylights - DaltonGolden Eye - BrosnanCasino Royale - CraigAs a guilty pleasure to watch Kim Basinger - Never Say Never Again!
