Temujin Khaghan Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 1) Thunderball - quintessential bond movie 2) Goldfinger - it has a Hitchcock touch to it, infact alfred Hitchcock wanted to direct this movie, but backed out. i've read it in some trivia 3) Golden eye - awesome movie. only good Bond movie that Brosnan acted in 4) Casino Royale - raw James Bond, without any gimmicks 5) Spy who loved me - very fast 6) Live and Let die - james bond and woodoo 7) Dr. No - vintage honourable mentions: rest of Connery movies, Man with the golden gun, license to kill and skyfall worst james bond movies 1) Octopussy - rotten pussy 2) View to a kill - *snore* *snore* ... eh... *sno..* what... what happened??? 3) World is not enough - as flat as kiera knightley's ( Y ) 4) Die another day - yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwnnnnnnnnn 5) Quantum of Solace - brought james bond to the level below Ethan hunt and Jason Bourne Sean Connery is the only james bond whose all bond movies are considered classics - he is the best bond Pierce Brosnan acted in 3 idiotic movies after Goldeneye - worst bond for critics. but fans like him Roger moore is the best bond commercially. but he ended up making a mockery of bond. someone said "cast a baboon as james bond and the movie will be a hit" when one of his movies released Timothy Dalton treated James Bond just like theatre. he did some serious acting in both his movies, but his movies did not attract attention. he portrayed James Bond closest to Fleming's vision Daniel Craig is a lot more colder than Bond ought to be in the novels. But thats the way he needs to be to counter Bourne and reposition the brand George Lezenby, the 2nd bond. no one cares.

zen Posted June 14, 2015 Author Posted June 14, 2015 Moore actually did a great job of maintaining the series as it was a herculean task to replace Connery (the quintessential Bond) so should be given credit where due. We know what happened to Lazenby who actually did a decent job in On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Connery had to be recalled for one last assignment Moore played the Bond slightly differently from Connery and brought in his own style that had worked for him in series such as the Saint .... That style also worked for the series in the 1970s and early 80s When Dalton too tried to play the character differently, he was not that much widely accepted. May be he was ahead of his time as Craig is currently playing the character similarly .... zen Posted June 15, 2015 Author Posted June 15, 2015 i hope they bring back gadgets in SPECTRE +1 Bond films are about gadgets, fancy locations, great background music, amazing stunts, cool bad guys, etc. Much like how Bollywood has a formula, Bond films should stick with this formula In Cold War era, the West identified more with Bond who was fighting the common enemy (and ex-Nazis). Now the concepts of common villains has changed so no wonder the film makers are trying to get SPECTRE, a threat to the world, back
