He is a big problem because he is not a student of the game like Ganguly or Dravid and doesnt have much technical knowledge. He is more of a punter and street smart cricketer. He doesnt have ability to spot the right talent and groom them. As a result, he has invested a lot in cricketers that he thinks would deliver eventually because he believed their hype. Result is they failed to deliver because they are not good enough but never got replaced and they kept dragging the team down. How else would you explain India failing to win a single game in SA tour, NZ tour, Aus tour, losing Eng tests 3-1 and yet the current squad has mostly the same members ?

I am not as against Dhoni as others here. Yes he needs to go. His strategies are bizarre and his skills as a cricketer are not good enough any more. But I never doubt that he always gives it 100% when he plays for India. With some others I always have doubts that they are giving 100%. Not because I suspect match fixing or anything. But some just seem lazy, complacent and disinterested.

No one calls Dhoni a fixer....I doubt the 100% commitment though...maybe on a personal level with keeping and batting yeah he is fully committed but playing likes of jaddu and other pieces of garbage shows he doesn't look at the big picture or just doesn't care.

He's not THE reason, but based on current form, he is A reason. As such, the whole team seemed to be just going through the motions in B'desh and he can't seem to motivate them to do more.
