The English and Aussie commentators may not be perfect and they also have a lot of biases but our bunch is worse. BCCI monopoly on everything just throttles any dissenting voice.

Indian cricket commentary sucks (Except when Dravid and Kumble were doing stuff in Australian radio). English one is okay until you get Agnew, Botham or Warne, Saffers get pissy easily, NZ are just blah, Windies are dull. Australia is a weird one. The Ashes coverage has been great from Channel 9. They are actually focusing on the cricket and kept it simple. Commentary team is - Mark Taylor - Ian Healy - Michael Vaughan - David Lloyd - Mark Nicholas Added for the 2nd test were - Brett Lee - Shane Warne Warne made it worse because he goes on stupid tangents. But it's like without the whole Australian audience it has actually been great. Healy has surprised me the most. He has actually been on point and very perspective. Also C9 and co they will speak up as they have. Chappell did about Steve Waugh, Healy did on Wade, Taylor did a few times. It's just that they are forced to cater to the casual public in Australia.

Shastri and Bhogle are the only BCCI suckers in commentary box. And now that Shastri has moved on, it's only Bhogle. The rest -- either have personalities that are either too soft to say anything controversial. Or they're incapable of talking about anything that routine ball to ball commentary with comments like "That's a slower one". " That's a good shot for four" , "That's gone for six"etc
