amiret Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 The conspiracy theories Not surprisingly, many theories are floating around that attempt to explain the sudden and unexpected success of these youngsters in mobilizing people, as well as their possible political backers. Two theories have proven particularly popular – the first identifies Nitin Patel, the number two in the Anandiben Cabinet, as the invisible force behind the agitation in an apparent bid to emerge as the undisputed leader of the community; the second claims that the agitation is the handiwork of BJP’s national president Amit Shah, who is keen to dislodge the Anandiben Patel government, given the long drawn animosity shared by the two leaders. Yet another theory, the latest one by a Gujarati newspaper website quoting “central intelligence agencies”, claims that it is none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is fostering the agitation, apparently as a ruse to usher in a national policy of reservations based on economic status to replace the present caste-based quota system. The agitation has shaken the government so much that it has formed a seven-member committee to resolve their demand. The committee, headed by senior minister Nitin Patel, was constituted after a successful rally in Gandhinagar organised by Hardik Patel. http://thewire.in/2015/08/24/the-patels-are-on-the-march-and-the-bjps-worried-9121/ honorable PM Shri modijeee fostering agitation , mayhem and riots ? Impossible.
amiret Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 the AAP topi that is troubling modi cheerGirls :
zen Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Unfair! If there is freedom to choose the religion. I think same freedom needs to be extended to choose the caste too. And to further extend such an argument, there should be freedom for a punjabi (Singh) to turn in to a bengali (Banerjee) too, a Southie to call himself Northie and vice-versa, etc. :P
amiret Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 CCTV video confirms , Gujarat Police engaged in Criminal acts of destruction of private property belonging to Patel community . Gujarat High Court takes notice : Acting on a petition filed by advocate Virat Poptal whose cars were damaged by the cops, Justice J B Pardiwala said, "They (police) cannot handle such a delicate situation in this manner. Such police officers should be suspended." During the hearing, the court said that CCTV footage as published in media shows that police also indulged in this activity. The judge questioned the state government whether police damaged private cars and property. Referring to the CCTV footage on police violence, Justice Pariwala commented, "This is very disturbing. If police does so, what is the different between rioters and protectors? What message will go to people?" No Difference .
zen Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Link Police have been targeted too. You would assume that the policeman targeted would be random but interestingly those injured are not Patels (different caste) :hmmmm: This is turning in to a criminal activity (attacks, property damage, productivity loss) and people such as Hardik should be charged accordingly
sage Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 And to further extend such an argument' date=' there should be freedom for a punjabi (Singh) to turn in to a bengali (Banerjee) too, a Southie to call himself Northie and vice-versa, etc. :P[/quote'] yes regional names should not be inflicted at birth but should be the CHILD'S DECISION to choose
zen Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 yes regional names should not be inflicted at birth but should be the CHILD'S DECISION to choose I was talking about family names (Singh, Banerjee, etc.). Usually, people don't change their family names (East or West) .... However, you could change your name but that does not change who you are :winky:
vvvslaxman Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 So Parthiv Patel can come into Indian side now
Jersey #10 Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 The conspiracy theories Yet another theory, the latest one by a Gujarati newspaper website quoting “central intelligence agenciesâ€, claims that it is none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is fostering the agitation, apparently as a ruse to usher in a national policy of reservations based on economic status to replace the present caste-based quota system. Impossible. The second one is quite popular between gujjus right now. I'm going to take it as a conspiracy theory but knowing Modi, he would conspire this on purpose.
BeautifulGame Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 The second one is quite popular between gujjus right now. Interesting who would have that :cantstop:
Raghav_12 Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 So lot of Gujaratis believe will kill people and create riots to get his way . Interesting who would have that :cantstop: Aspirants are trying to take cue from Modi's book.
Anitha Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Imagine. Just imagine. The protest was by people of certain religion asking for status of OBC. Imagine this same series of events happening as it happened in this instance. Pages after pages of adarsh liberal secularises talking about the communal nature of Gujarat govt and ofcourse Modi. Media outcry on Gujarat after 2002. Yes imagine in your NRI brains. But I love the fact that since it is the Patel community the usual suspects have quickly started name calling and trying to derail the thread. Why do you even come out of the politics sections when you do not even know to debate without labeling people and calling them names?Filthy habit some people have picked up and it is easy to see why, when you can label people as liberals or whatever, you can fight imaginary group of people instead of indulging in actual debate on the actual points
mishra Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 And to further extend such an argument' date=' there should be freedom for a punjabi (Singh) to turn in to a bengali (Banerjee) too, a Southie to call himself Northie and vice-versa, etc. :P[/quote'] Just like Chinese will allways look Chinese same way Bengali will allways look Bengali or Madrasee will allways look Madrasee. We cant change genes and region. But offcouse both religion and caste are social enginerring ideas. In a democracy, People should have right to choose them.
amiret Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 The funeral of a 32-year-old man from Patel community, who allegedly died in custody after being caught by police during the quota violence, was held in Ahmedabad amid tight security. The funeral procession of Shwetang Patel started from his house in Matrushakti Society of Bapunagar area at around 8.25am. Since Shwetang was the only son of Prabhaben, his sister Palak performed the last rites by lighting his funeral pyre. Good to see that a pliable TV MSM has completely blocked out all distressing news from Gujarat.
amiret Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 Gujarat violence: Probe custodial death, says High Court the High Court ordered the CID (Crime) to investigate the alleged custodial death of 32-year-old Shwetang Patel. He was reportedly picked up by the police from his residence. Advocate Rohit Patel, who appeared for Shwetang Patel’s mother, said: “In the post-mortem report, which the court read out during the hearing, it is categorically mentioned that the death was due to severe external and internal injuries caused by beating.” Justice J.B. Pardiwala, while ordering the probe, observed that “prima facie, it appeared to be a case of homicide.” Condemnable comments by the High Court besmirching the reputation of Gujarat Cops who are widely seen as honest ,incorruptible and morally upright upholders of the law. Picked up from his home and beaten to death ; such incidents are normal in this democracy and might even be necessary to prevent a devolution into anarchy . Besides , AAP is known for enacting dramas like this . Perhaps the man in question repeatedly threw his head and body against the Lathis of the helpless police just to slander their good name. The CCTV footage from several Patel-dominated localities show the police entering residential areas, damaging vehicles and beating up residents in their houses.
Sachin=GOD Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 @India Today I am next Sardar Patel, says Hardik Patel This is what happens when you take a 21 year old and prop him up as a 'leader' for political ends.
amiret Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 Mobile Internet services Banned for 5 days in a row . Businesses continued to be affected on the fourth day as mobile subscribers in Gujarat are unable to access 2G, 3G and mobile communication services, through their mobile phones since Wednesday Internet ban in Gujarat over Patel agitation raises questions about legality of such decisions : When faced with violence over a demand by the Patel community for caste-based quotas, the administration in Gujarat did what is quite common in Jammu & Kashmir and the northeastern states but rare in the rest of India — block mobile internet access. On several occasions the government has cited threats to public order to block web sites or prevent the sending of bulk text messages, but using the 'internet kill switch' is a measure that is unprecedented except in areas prone to separatist violence, experts said. Sometimes it is necessary to trample on the rights of the few in the larger interests of the State and the Party . http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/articleshow/48704282.cms?utm_source=contentofinterest&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=cppst

That guy probably needs a psychiatrist evaluation .... Reflects badly on the Patidars who have been following him
amiret Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 @India Today I am next Sardar Patel, says Hardik Patel This is what happens when you take a 21 year old and prop him up as a 'leader' for political ends. @TruthandFacts While stating that leaders like Sardar Patel and Bal Thackeray have been his idol, the Patel leader said," I like it when people call me Sardar Hardik. I want to be the modern Patel. Not a pretender." Taking a dig at Prime Minister Modi's ambitious Statue of Unity project which includes erecting a 182-metre high statue of Sardar Patel, Hardik said, " I want to be the real thing. Not a statue." In that same interview he uttered : "Jai Sardar , Ghar-Ghar Sardar" . His Megalomania is shocking , if he had chanted "Har Har Modi , Ghar-Ghar Modi" ; he would have been acceptable to all of us and MSM.
