Man, this guy scores a record-breaking innings that knocks the living daylights out of Lanka and I see more posts about "let him perform outside India", "flat track bully", "lucky" than those praising him. Had this knock been played by say Tendulkar, everybody would be hailing the "God of cricket". At least acknowledge that this was truly a once-in-a-lifetime spectacular knock that you will probably never see again. That too coming from a person just after an injury lay-off and having his place in the side challenged. :hatsoff: Rohit Sharma. Australia is the next destination to conquer!

Congrats to the guy on creating the world record but watching this innings, I can easily say that it was clearly not the greatest ODI knock imho (not even in the top 5) SL played like school kids with their bowling and fielding. But you can't argue against someone who has 2 odi double tons in these conditions... So rohit is a must for the odi team in the sub-continent now (just like Raina)

None of the 200s or 194 by Anwar would qualify for greatest ODI knocks.These kinds of knocks can only be played in utter flat wkts against Average attacks. That doesnt take away the quality of the knock

If you want to nitpick...Richards scored the 180 against a SL side that was equal to Bangladesh in those days,Kapil scored against Zimbabwe,Ganguly well against a decent team but with only one decent swing bowler in Vaas and A Toothless Murali(on that day) But yes even I will rate Kapil or Gangly's innings given the situation on that day as better but playing 50 overs with that kind of hitting takes some stamina...so credit where due :hatsoff: Also this is pretty much A list SL bowling except Malinga......Herath is only a test specialist

Agree dude...the difference between a Rohit bhakt and a hater is haterz have irrational hate but Rohit bhakts are bhakts because they have cricketing accumen and can recognize class when they see it :--D
