After you get hit you develop a mental block like broad said.Its not about being mentally weak sometimes u need to show courage i admire ishant always faced the challenge and guys like kumble fought it out with injuries .The sydney test inninds of kumble in 2008 is an perfect example when determination can overcome technique and conditions.

There is two views for the whole saga. The ruthless view and the gentlemanly view. Ruthless viewpoint From Ishna't point of view, he is there to take wickets, and bouncing people is part of that. Yes, he bounced Prasad, who was injured. If Prasad thought he was bad enough, should never returned for batting, but he did. So Ishant is entitled to bounce him once again. From Prasad's point of view, Ishant is a tailender, but Prasad is there to get him out. Bouncing is part of that. Ishant cannot whine on the numb er of bouncers he receives, and cannot complain on that as well. If he cannot play the bouncers, then get out. But under no explanation Prasad's chasing of Ishant and Chandimal's shoulder barging should be tolerated. That was ugly, and Iam ashamed as a SL supporter about that. But if Prasad bounces and kills somebody, I don't care, because intention was not to kill. Ishant got what he deserved. He was an ass from the 1st test onwards sending off batsmen. All the altercations had one common factor, that is Ishant. Even the "spoilt brat" Kohli didn't get in to any major action with any of the players.

I believe he scared not just Prasad but even some of their batsman as all batsmen were playing him at the backfoot. chandimal gave catching practice in slips twice against Ishant...I think. even kaushal hit him high up in the sky and had kohli not picked it,,some body else would. I mean to say that SL batters made him a Mitchell Johnson.... folks- he was bowling bouncers at 140 to 142k not at 152k..it could be played or avoided at least.

Agree. He was threatening throughout the series. MSD used to overbowl him. But looks like, with pacers like Yadav and others around him, He may be getting regular 140K speed and correct length

what ever happened- Ishant was fired up and one reason was Prasad and also Chandimal. actually it is better to not excite and anger a fast bowlers- sunny gavaskar always said that. angry Ishant with a new ball got Mathews who was playing on 100 + out...getting a batsman on 100 + out is not an easy task and a determined Mathews cud have even saved the test....the way he was just leaving even overs from Binny. at least he cud have got india to stretch and target the other batsmen but once he got out .. lanka folded in 10 balls I guess which was a very meek surrender.
