Not a great Test career. But he probably made the right call with Mitch Marsh is going to be a permanent fixture for a while.

Such a shame that he couldn't do it in the tests. This was anyways expected as Marsh seema to be a fixed member in the team now.

Watson is a better bat than mitchmarsh although marsh does have time on his side and can improve leaps and bounds.in the bowling department marsh is the better prospect and does look like a proper 5th bowler.Australia have to invest on marsh and give him time ,he can be a good all rounder

Gun batsman against short pitched bowling, possessed a superb pull shot. Won many games for Australia in 2009-2010 period.Unfortunately he has a major technical flaw against off cutters, but did his best for Australian test team.
