asterix
Sad to hear about Kiran asking Amir to move out of India... I hope they don't take this drastic step and move to more tolerant places like Paris or Brussels... Please give one more chance to India... asterix
I certainly am alarmed that flights being blown up in mid air by Islamic terrorists... I fear a lot while flying including my family and the thought that Hindu terrorists have so far not targeted flights, are of little solace to me... bulbul
Commenting on the ongoing intolerance debate, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap says intolerance has "always existed" in the nation, adding that freedom of expression is an illusion. "Intolerance has always been there. We don't have freedom of expression. It is something we have to live with, do our own bit and fight and refuse to participate. I hope it silences," Kashyap said on the sidelines of Film Bazaar here. He said: "The kind of thing happenings across the country have been in the country for long."When we talk of intolerance it depends on who is empowered like there may be people who think that they might dislike something but cannot do anything about it and there can be people who feel when empowered they can do something about it. And that is the difference right now many elements feel empowered".http://www.ibnlive.com/news/movies/intolerance-has-always-been-part-of-india-anurag-kashyap-1168004.html Edited November 24, 2015 by bulbul

bulbul
Funny thing is AK can tell anything for freedom of speech but other cannot protest or comment against him...and people expect tolerance My only problem with idiots who protested in front of his gate is they should have just kept a banner with "Salman Khan is better Hero than Aamir" rather than shouting slogans. someone
Shameful acts and not the first time. Eminent people who can't digest Modi's win and are too intolerant of accepting people can have different beliefs. They didn't expect a Modi win in 2014, and thus have now resorted to shamelessly damaging the country's, government's image. These people talking about intolerance should at least be honest about their hatred, and then explain what is tolerance to them? Was our UPA government tolerant times?

bulbul
This is probably the worst of the lot among all the "intolerance" campaign. What the f*** lol Lot of neutrals just toasted him on the social media as he is making a sweeping accusation against the whole country .Biggest issue here is how he thought people will fooled by this opinion. Intolerance or something else its only affect poor people, whichever religion its is. To tell his wife worried about child's future is unbelievable, they are filthy rich what will happen? Even more funny thing is they are living in Mumbai for many years where SS have stronghold so suddenly his family is afraid to live in country vvvslaxman

someone
FB: Janab Aamir Khan,I am an ordinary Indian citizen and an avid movie-goer. You are a superstar in a country where the majority of movie-goers are Hindu. For years, we have spent our money to buy tickets for your movies. It is our money that has made you what you are today. We clapped when as ACP Ajay Rathore, you destroyed a sweet-talking Gulfam Khan in Sarfarosh. We cheered when as Bhuvan, you played the winning shot in Lagaan. We cried when as a sensitive art teacher, you made us root for Ishaan Awasthi in Taarey Zamin Par.A couple of generations before you, an Yusouf Khan had to become a Dilip Kumar to be accepted and a Mahajabeen Bano had to reinvent herself as Meena Kumari. Not you though. Neither you, nor your contemporaries had to hide your identity to be successful. You became a star in a new India. An India, where only your first name mattered. We loved you because you were Aamir, a brilliant actor. Neither your last name mattered to us, nor your faith. But yesterday, you proved to us that for you and your wife at least , it is your last name that matters more than anything else.Your name is Khan and you Sir, are a hypocrite. You did not scream intolerance when your city burned at the hands of some of your co-religionists. Your wife did not feel insecure when a mammoth crowd of some of your co-religionists attended the funeral of a hanged terrorist. You were silent even when a mob from Reza Academy kicked and destroyed a national memorial and manhandled female cops. But now, suddenly, your wife feels insecure in India and wants you to move out.If I WERE indeed intolerant, I would suggest you move to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the safest place on earth, where Begum Kiran Rao can feel absolutely secure inside her abaya and your little son can grow up watching public executions in a Riyadh square. But I am not going to do that. As a tolerant Indian, the only thing I can and WILL do is to make sure that not even one rupee of my hard-earned money goes towards buying tickets for your movies. Thanks for the disappointments.
