Brainfade
For decades, selectors have missed out on taking good prospects and giving them a chance when they were in great form. Now, it's with Shreyas Iyer. Now is the time to blood this kid and see what he has. Instead, they'll let him play domestics for 3 or 4 more years, wait till he becomes jaded and short of confidence, and throw him into a pressure-filled do-or-die situation and discard him after 3 - 4 failures. At least they took a chance on Pandya for T-20s. Hope he pans out. express bowling, tweaker and philcric 3 Link to comment

Wait too long and he will lose that youthful fearlessness. tweaker 1 Link to comment
sandeep
I think Pranav Dhanawade should be given a chance, he's young and has shown record-breaking ability to hit sixes and score runs. Link to comment
SRT100
Rohit, Kohli and Rahane is the foundation of the Indian batting lineup. The first two are power hitters and can either build an innings or destroy a bowling lineup, Rahane can build and consolidate if a collapse takes place. It is imperative that the BCCI select power players around those three players. The IPL is a joke competition and is laughed at in Australia. All the good power hitters in each team are foreigners and hence Team India are not developing strong ODI and T20 teams.Dhoni is finished as a captain and as a player, he was a great captain and batsmen but that is in the past and Team India need to move forward. The bowling lineup of India is the biggest joke in World Cricket, not a decent bowler that can contain and take wickets, nor a bowler that is legitimately feared by opposition batsmen. A billion people in India and you guys can field a decent ODI/T20 bowler, what kind of joke cricket is being played in India. After the world T20, Team India need to trial and experiment and build a team around Kohli as captain, with Rohit and Rahane. I do believe every other position should be open and up for grabs. Aside from these 3 players, not a single other Indian player is useful outside the subcontinent. It proves just how pathetic and a joke that the IPL and Ranji trophy has become. Edited January 18, 2016 by SRT100 x Link to comment

The Outsider
I love the Colaba area, but it's 30+ km from office and a similar 3BHK flat that I've taken now rents for fucking 2-2.5 Lakhs there. So staying close to office in Goregaon West at about a third the rent. In hindsight should've compromised between rent and commute and taken something in Powai. Link to comment

rkt.india
The problem is that most of our domestic batsmen struggle against fast short pitch bowling.Yes. You need practice for that. Kohli was awful against short ball till 2011 but he worked hard on it and got better. Others can do that too. Link to comment
express bowling
The problem is that most of our domestic batsmen struggle against fast short pitch bowling. There are lots of batsmen in Indian cricket now that are good against pace and bounce. Our problem these days is swing as batsmen are not playing county cricket and learning that art. Link to comment

express bowling
fixed I have suggested a team that can be practically picked...not a dream team.Dhoni is the captain and will play...and then so will JadduUmesh, Bhuvi and Ishant may not be ideal but we don't have anyone better till Shami returns,Rahane is a good ODI batsman nowadays upto the 40th over...not after that. MK55
Jeez we have to throw R Dhawan out. He's not an all rounder. I don't recall him playing any shots at the IPL level too. We cant have him in the side for his dibbly dobbly bowling. Jadeja too is not an all rounder. FFS. Such a selfish player. Our tailenders bat like retards. Embarrassing Link to comment
express bowling
I am disappointed with Mann too.He had a golden opportunity to win it for his country and establish himself too. Heard a lot about his ability to play under pressure in India A matches Link to comment
