speedheat Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Was just watching a highlights between SL vs use and siriwardane dropped a sitter in slips. Why can't slip fielders wear gloves? Is it not allowed? Or players won't find it comfortable?
sourab10forever Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Because they want to sleep sscomp32, chewy, BlueBee and 1 other 4
Debutant Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 (edited) Wearing gloves while sleeping may result in poor blood circulation in the hands Edited February 26, 2016 by Debutant chewy, express bowling, sourab10forever and 4 others 7
Forever Indian Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 (edited) On a serious note to answer the OP, the point of keeper having gloves is to avoid getting the hand bruised by catching every other ball bowled. In slips you hardly get a couple of catches in a session. Also wearing gloves has a lot of disadvantages as well like not able to throw the ball properly, not able to maintain and shine the ball at their crotch, bite the ball when playing in lala land, etc… Edited February 26, 2016 by Forever Indian BlueBee, sscomp32 and tweaker 3
Texy Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 I don't think OP means keeper gloves. But like skinny gloves that American football players wear for grip. Those will not hamper the agility either. speedheat 1

He doesn't really have to do too much of ground fielding and is basically a second grade keeper with having too balls to catch. And some short cover / mid off / mid in fielder can take care of shinning the ball. And you can develop new ways of biting no problem. Once you are in lalas land, this type of innovative ideas begin to come naturally. Nehra did not train his teeth for nothing. speedheat 1
Invasion 550 Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 If every fielder starts wearing gloves then you can expect nehra legend to abuse the heck out of everyone just like he abused dhoni. ;) speedheat 1
