Karun Nair --- Made me think of Badrinath

Some players are really unlucky.....

To name a few

Brad Hodge of Australia --- unlucky, he is born in the golden age of australia)

Badrinath --- Again same reason....

And now karun Nair .... Although there is a spot available in Indian test side, he is not getting the required attention....Off what i have seen, he is a better player than badrinath and has a very calm head over his shoulders....

He has few seasons under his belt and ready-made product for test side....

He has done enough in domestic cricket to claim his spot in test side......he should be considered before Mr. Talunt and others but he is no where to be seen..........

Badrinath was indeed very mediocre ,

Nair does remind a bit of rahane n but more than rahane i find him very similar to Aravinds De silva.

HE got selected last yr for sri lanka tour in last test as replacement, means he is on selectors radar, n also gets picked for all A games.

Where he cud do better is consistency, where iyer is scoring over him. His Team Karanataka shud also give him a permanent spot as there is to much shuffle there coz of problem of plenty. But he is the future so shud Give him a fixed position which is given to someone like iyer.

He wud have tough time getting into side like rahane is having , both play at very similar S/r. This type of game was ok 5-6 yrs ago not now, thats were in Odi, iyer, chand other will be ahead of him.

In test, Having a similar game like rahane can be an issue for him as we at 6 we need someone who can play fast or an all rounder. Still he shud be selected in Next test tour over Maggi.

N i hope in Ipl, he gets to open n is given a rahane like role. He did well in ipl when he opened, but whenever he batted anywere else he struggled.

One difference between Rahane and Nair in FC matches.....is Strike Rate.

Rahane has SR of 58 in FC  and 55.5  in tests.....which is very good.

Nair has SR of 50 in FC.

Just the comparison itself is huge compliment....

Rahane as test Player is better than kohli

Badrinath probably didn't get a long rope like some others, but I remember he got a full series in West Indies after WC 2011 and struggled horribly. Struggled with the short ball and struggled to rotate strike.
