I have been seeing him from last few matches and he has played some very sensible innings this season. He has been picky with his shot selection....looks like he has come off age.....

Moreover, he has hit both pacers and spinner unlike before...

Whether he deserves a place in Indian team is debatable but he is becoming mature but little too late

As far as I have observed Yusuf over the years he plays well when in form one season and then come a craper in next season when not in form. So it is too soon to comment anything yet...

I don't think age should be that big an issue. 

 

It is better to have a player doing really well for 5 years than having an average player for 15 years.

 

Australia has introduced Adam Voges at 36 and boy is he doing well.   Not saying Pathan is as good as a 36 year old Voges but he can fit thge role of a LOI finisher better than many, provided he is playing maturely.

And compare that to Irfan and his giant fall from grace. At least yuchup can be called an IPL legend. Irfan is nothing now.
