Blackwood

40 test - avg 30

Chase

40 test - avg 28

WI cant have so many batsman avg 30 or less in the lineup

powell - 26, brathwite 32

Their home conditions havent been easy for batting but still these avg are very poor . Chase still has his utility but blackwood with an avg of 30 that to after 40 test isnt helping the team

they don't have anyone better perhaps. ideally, gayle, darren bravo, etc. should play, but they are either uninterested or sidelined through politics.

any T20 WI batsman is better than Powell.. not one batsman can guarantee a place.. they should seriously give Evin Lewis a run as an opener or at his preferred position..

Pathetic side,  their performance in test cricket has been abysmal recently. It was pure luck that won the first test against Pak.

Even in t20is

they are overrated flat track bullies who would crumble against quality bowling attack. Full of hacks and I don't understand how grandpa like Gayle is preferred over someone like Shahi hope.

Hope is not suitable for Tests; he is best utilized in ODIs. He could also be played in T20s as an anchor

And exactly that is what this team requires an anchor who can hold one end especially on a difficult track, while the rest of the team goes crazy.

The kind of depth they have in batting in t20. Holder can do the job and give seam bowling option

There is a guy Bonner & Powell at the top in their playing XI...  Hope is at least 3-4, tiers above them in terms of talent & skill.

I'd like to see Pooran in there as well to do Rishabh Pant role.  Mayers is one hit wonder nothing else.
