Malcolm Merlyn
It is a well known fact that Pakistan annexed a independent Balochistan in 1948.Since then 1000s have died in Pak Army conducted human rights abuses in Balochistan. The people of Balochistan got much needed international support after PM Modi made a mention of Balochistan in his Independence day speech. Now the news is that Baloch leader Brahamdugh Bugti who is in exile in switzerland has/will apply for asylum in India, the question is will India grant him asylum. The interior minister had the guts to say that India will become a terror state if they grant asylum to Bugti. This coming from the country hosting Hafeez Saeed,Syed Salahuddin,Masood Azhar,Dawood,OBL.Khalistani terrorists etc etc is laughable. Pakistan has been giving shelter to anyone who has a anti India stand. They have been fighting a asymmetric war againist India.Abou time India replies back in the same coin by giving Baloch people support and Asylum. chewy
first india should facilitate the set-up of Baloch government in exile based in India. it's not like India hasn't done this before, China was always fecked with regards to Tibet since Dalai Lama was given refuge in India. randomGuy
jalebi_bhai
This issue won't be fast tracked and rightly so. We need to build up a serious wave of sympathy in various international fora for the Baloch cause. The complications with Balochistan stem from the fact that parts of present day Iran and Afghanistan, along with Pakjabistan all belong to what would be historically called Balochistan. Below is a very informative link: http://thediplomat.com/2016/02/a-brief-history-of-balochistan/ So any solution to the Balochi problem will involve Iran and Afghanistan. Neither will decline, though Iranians will try to leverage us on other issues. There might be some paid goons we would have to deal with. I personally feel that we must resolve POK first before setting out to liberate Balochistan.
The Outsider
Brilliant! Sanghis buying into the Baluchistan bull crap. @beautifulgameyou were sceptical about the rise of Hindutva garbage. Look here for a live example of how delusional folks are discussing the Balochistan issue with gravity!
Texan
Have to tread carefully here. If this guy has indeed perpetrated violence, then need to consider what damage he could potentially cause to India's image.
