Might struggle to hit sixes . But is steeet smart which seems to be one of his major strengths then means more gaps for his single gathering , more room for nurdles and pokes .

Can he do those on the bouncy pitches in SA or Aus is still a big ?

 

Also fitness seems an issue....can he keep up with the large grounds in Aus.

Very attacking innings but wonder why it took ages for selectors to pick him in squad. He should be picked ahead of Rahane and Dhawan at least... I guess Raina was ahead of him in packing orders... Jadhav should be in T20 as well..

Even away from home . Remember this guy is for odis only . Pitches flat every where . This guys always seem to never get bogged down and have slow start . Always a crisp 25 of say 25 . Always looking for singles and rotation and doing it with ease cos of supple wrists and wanting to use pace of bowler to merely nurdle runs

 

movng ball and bounce may cause issues . But don't see those conditions much in odis anywhere .

I feel that  Kedar Jadhav's ability to hit 6s and 4s is a bit under-rated by  our team management, media and fans alike.

He is more a 4 hitter as he is street smart in finding gaps in the field. Of course he can also hit sixes when required, but you will rarely find him hitting a six over say Long On's head, thus minimising risk of getting out when mishit.

Yes....he tries to hit in the gaps and his 6s are often between long on and mid-wicket....even Nair had displayed this quality in his 303 and Kohli obviously has it.

 

These 3 are perhaps our 3 most low-risk hitters who always try to find gaps and minimize risk of mis-hits.

Kedar Jadhav has credited MS Dhoni for the calmness that he displayed during the tough run-chase in the third ODI against England in Kolkata. Jadhav is happy with his performance in the ODI series and insisted that playing alongside Virat Kohli has provided him with the know-how to finish games.

Another match another performance. In both IPL matches, he had the highest strike rate. In today's match when people weren't able to time the ball, Jadhav played as if he was on a different pitch. 

 

Can we please change the title to: Jadhav-Player with XFactor.

Btw it's no joke to have a strike rate of 100 plus and average of 50 plus after playing List A for 10 years. But our selectors wasted 5 years of his life. And for whom.  To try out duds like Rayadu and Rahane in LOI who can't play with a strike rate above 75.

he wasn't hiding anywhere. Folks on ICF had created multiple threads about him the last 3-4 years asking for his inclusion in the Indian team but it was the likes of Rahane and rayudu who were preferred
