gakgupta Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 How much ever i like him, he never lived up to the expectation. Main reasons for his media-core performances are 1) his attitude 2) not enough talent (he never could improve on his pace). Can't believe, he didn't had a 5fr for very long time. Moreover, he plays in the team as specialist spinner. Jayant yadav's performance was pretty good for the third spinner. Not only his bowling, he has shown potential with batting and fielding. Having said that this is his first international outing, he has shown tremendous maturity. He is here to stay. After listening to what ravi shastri told about him and what dravid thinks about him, i cant imagine team management dropping him. So, is this the end of our leggie?
Soorma_Bhopali Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 we are discussing end of the road for someone who was man of the series in Ind-NZ ODI series a month back with a 5fer in Vizag . Really ? express bowling, Cricketics and Ironhide 3
Cricketics Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 My first choice spinner in ODI's and twenty20. When batsman attacks and bowlers are under oressure, Mishra's smartest bowler then. He gets plenty of wickets. No wonder he always does well in ODI's and twenty20. Even in IPL, any team would love to have him. He is always taking wickets. Test Matches In test, unfortunately he has not done that well. Dhoni had choice of making few careers and he gave good amount of chance to Jadeja and Ashwin who turned both turned out really well. They both played for CSK too, so that helped Dhoni pick them over others as they impressed him more. Had Mishra bowled for CSK, he might have had more chances. Nothing wrong in there what Dhoni did. As a captain, you pick the players you are most confident about and Dhoni had more confidence in Jadeja and Ashwin as they always bowled well for him in different teams.
mishra Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 He is too lazy to stand out in sun for one whole day. Hence, No more tests for him, not because of his bowling but He cant play home tests unless improves his overall game. Which is impossible. I will still consider him on bouncy overseas pitches as leggie do better.
gakgupta Posted December 1, 2016 Author Posted December 1, 2016 BTW, i was talking about only test matches. In ODI's and t20's, he might still find the place...
Ankit_sharma03 Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 well one more year i guess, but if yuzi n kuldeep come up the ranks real fast it wont take long for him to disappear. For both of them mishra hasnt set such high standards to beat. gakgupta 1
