Fairly sure there was a 7 day break after the 3rd test during the 2014 England tour? Taking into travel time between grounds in the countries it's not exactly that different from the current break between tests is it.

His comcern is mainly about the odi gap I believe. England going back and coming again is what is a concern. Keep them here and continue their thrashing.

When we go there, we do not get such break etc.  We try to cram the whole 7 match odi series and test all together.

I am absolutely fine with it. However, I would actually finish of the tour after tests and invite England to play ODI's basically way later in 2017 or early 2018 so they have to start all over again. Just like how India and Australia do that they play test and ODI''s seperate year.

Fairly sure India haven't had a 7 match ODI series in England for years now and even when it was it was a reduced test series. In reality England are never going to continue a tour of India over Christmas. It's asking too much of the players to spend 3 out of 4 Christmas's away from home.

2014 tour had 5 tests followed by a tour game followed by 5 ODI's and then a twenty20.

2011 tour had 4 tests, 5 ODIs and a twenty20

2006 had 7 odis with 3 test matches.
