Brainfade Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 (edited) The world is a much better place today than it ever was, and you can thank industrialization, increased agricultural productivity, and revolutions in technology fueled by human ingenuity for this. Let's look forward to 2017 and beyond with even more optimism and rationality and allow things to get even better for most of the world's population! HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Texan Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Good OP. True, we should stop cribbing about many things. We are very fortunate to be born in this age where most of us have our basic needs easily met.
Cricketics Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Enjoy each day and donate more to the needy if you can. Be ready to give as all of us here, regardless of what ever our pay cheques might look like next year, we will always be richer than many people out there who are out on streets in different parts of the world and are less fortunate. coffee_rules Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 Glad to be able to read a newspaper with coffee every morning, and still use the phone or computer to read live news coverage all day long. Working in telcomm, world has never been so connected. IOT will make machines even more smarter in ghe future. Inflation and age will still make one long for good old days, but future still looks bright than past and present. Learn something new every day. Happy New Year.
