Read the OP.

I did.

I am wondering about BCCI's intent in the whole issue.

Why blame the SC when BCCI is not interested in making itself stronger after changes?

Of course ....with the the Indian cobra in ICC ,they should have been more proactive in bringing reforms to make the organization stronger.

They  were more interested in looking like a sinking ship to prove SC wrong.

Because Thakur kept missing deadline and delayed the implementation. Now we are seeing effects that.

Sack Thakur.SC just sacked the entire Indian Cricket administration.

And if you will not run away can you answer the following questions?

1.If 70 plus people can be PM CM MP MLA why not BCCI office bearer or run state associations?Any logic?

2.If PM CM MP MLA dont have a cooling period why BCCI?

3.If PM CM MPs MLA dont have term limits why BCCI?

These 3 are the only Lodha reforms that were opposed.

BCCI implemented all reforms except 3.Check my post above.

Now BCCI may become a beggar. Thanks to Lodha and SC.And guess what no one will hold them accountable.

This is actually funny :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:. Made himself a selector and selected himself and captained the team too. That is like gully cricket. Mera bat, mai captain :rofl::rofl::rofl:v

There was debate in SC when Sibal(was the lawyer representing BCCI) asked what will be eligibility criteria for new office bearers. Then judge asked about qualifications of Anurag Thakur. Sibal told them that he has played FC cricket. Then it was brought to notice of judged that when he was president of HPCA, he got himself selected for Himachal Pradesh FC team and played a Ranji trophy match between HP and J&K

This is the highest level of domestic cricket in India which is suppose to produce stars like Kohli and Tendulkar and you can play in this tournament just by being president.

Quote

Early on in his administrative tenure, he was embroiled in a controversy for having possibly become the first cricketer to have made his first-class debut after taking over as the president of the association. That debut enabled his induction into the national junior selection committee, satisfying the condition that only first-class players could be national selectors.

Now once he was eligible he appointed himself as chairman of selectors of HP ranji team. Imagine what will happen if all associations start doing this kind of joke with Ranji trophy.

It's not BCCI's intent. It's intent of some people who somehow got hold of reins of BCCI who had to be controlled.

Appointed by SC, apex judicial body. Still better qualification that the joke Thakur has done to BCCI.

BCCI should have implemented the changes that were necessary...like oldies out,two post restriction ,one  state one  vote...then the court would have given them the chance to put up the points that they felt were not right like...ads between overs bringing revenue.

But no...the bloody old asses were just interested in somehow hanging on their asses and savng power fo themselves and their lobbies.

If the idiots were really interested about Indian cricket ,they would have put their own interest behind and worked to make a transition faster.

I guess they were complacent because no one has touched them till now. Next time they will know better.

SC appointing its own judges is not qualification, its nepotism and unethical.

So again, what is the qualification of Lodha and co. to run BCCI and suggest such reforms?

And while at it,also answer, how can people who retired with a salary of 1.5L be given a salary of 5L per sitting when running the BCCI?

What's the harm in implementing those? We are seeing harms of not implementing those for now.

When such restrictions are not placed on people running the country, why place such restrictions on people running a sports body?

Does FIFA or IOC have such rules?NO

Give the logic behind such a rule.Except ofcourse the whims of the SC.

None of them was paid 5 lakhs per sitting. Correct me if I am wrong.

Only reasons given for not implementing these reforms are that there are no restrictions at other places. But there is no reason for why this shouldn't be implemented. How will it harm board?

One thing we for sure is that it has prevented corrupts like Thakur and co from getting back to BCCI and that's why they opposed it. Good thing for now.

FIFA has one country vote which the bcci has refused to implement

It seems Thakur damage to bcci might even be long lasting.

It's Thakur and Shrike who brought back Manohar to the bcci fold ,then enabled him to become ICC president ,now suffering the consequences.

Thank God SC has removed them.

4.5L per sitting.Plus the Secretary got 1.5L separately per month.Separate money for travel, accomodation etc etc.

I meant 5L collectively for the 3 judges. So each meeting a judge got 1.5L,when the total salary was 1.5L when he was a judge.
