If Anurag Thakur had allowed smooth transition then this wouldn't have happened.

He is gone. Forget him.  Deal will be done by present office bearers who are solely responsible and will be down to either or both incompetency/corruption when giving away financial leeway

Sack Thakur.SC just sacked the entire Indian Cricket administration.

And if you will not run away can you answer the following questions?

1.If 70 plus people can be PM CM MP MLA why not BCCI office bearer or run state associations?Any logic?

2.If PM CM MP MLA dont have a cooling period why BCCI?

3.If PM CM MPs MLA dont have term limits why BCCI?

These 3 are the only Lodha reforms that were opposed.

Shock of Thakur sacking would have been absorbed. Sacking rest is complete Chewtiyap down to ego of few judges.

There will allways be someone who is more capable then sacked Thakur/Srini. He may be able to recoup all losses incurred by BCCI. Problem is Commission or its recommedation will do absolutely nothing to find that someone. It will be totally on trial and error basis of private corporate world of selection/apointments.

Money is equally important as it goes to  cricket development in India.

Only op wants corrupt people in the organization. The use of over 70 age people is retirement. Atleast they can enjoy with their grand kids and leave the kids alone in cricket.

Retire most of our politicians will you?Ask SC to pass such an order and they will give up.

Since then the matter has moved. Now with no BCCI to oppose the proposal, all countries will be forced to pool the rights.Thats what the OP is saying.

Not really. The article nowhere mentions that India will be forced to part of that proposal. If other countries want to pool together their rvenenue rights, its their prerogative.Infact nowhere in that article it is mentioned that India will be mentioned that India will be forced to sell their rights by sharing in the common poll.

So It doesn't remotely matter whether we have Thakur or anyone present or not.No one is going to force India to sell it's rights collectively if we are not interested.

The proposal is for all countries to pool the rights.BCCI objected and refused and rallied its supporter boards to the cause. Now with no BCCI to oppose the proposal,it may pass.Once passed by ICC board there is nothing BCCI can do.

What smooth transition?Fire the entire cricketing administration of India?

The SC keeps shifting the goal posts. In july it was 9 years in state and 9 years in BCCI limit.Come Jan 3 its total 9 years in state and BCCI.Is this a joke?

Somebody should say to Justice Lodha how come he was a judge in Bombay high court for 13 years when he is advocating limits for terms.

This moves will cripple BCCI and SC has no right to limit a privately held entity. If SC wants to help let them clear backlog cases and solve more desperate issues.

Not True. Resolutions can always have counter resolutions. Plus in this case, think of it this way - You own a house and all your neighbors decide that everyone in the colony should sell their houses to a new builder for a mall. Even if the decision is taken by majority, no one can force you to sell your house! does not matter if you were present in that meeting or not.

BCCI is a sovereign board, not a part of ICC. Just like ICC cannot govern who does BCCI sell rights to or for how much, it also cannot dictate that the monies be pooled. If and only if BCCI voluntarilty wants to be a part of such pool can this happen.

Rumor mongering by sore ex BCCI looters has reached new highs (or lows). Just chill people, Cricket ain't gonna die in a country of 1.3 billion cricket crazy people.

Judiciary has become involved from running cricket,to banning diesel cars,to stop jokes on sardars to what not.

Who will place a counter proposal with BCCI not being represented?

All international matches are played under ICC.When ICC will pass a proposal saying all international matches rights have to be pooled BCCI will have to comply or else lose out on playing international matches. It needs 7 boards to pass a proposal at ICC.If there was no such fear BCCI would not be fighting tooth and nail againist this.

Cricket not dying and cricket flourishing like it is today are two different things.

Their more important business is to make sure they clear backlog of cases for which people wait all their lives. SC and HC are not in business of making news or being in limelight. Judicial system is to help common man let them do it first, BCCI was doing just fine.

There is everything BCCI can do because they arent forced to share their rights.Right from the start that has been the proposal.Any country could refuse to join in no other country can force it or ICC.

The article nowhere states BCCI will be forced to share their economic rights. So It doesn't remotely matter whether we have Thakur or anyone present or not.No one is going to force India to sell it's rights collectively if we are not interested.

Ramdom article 20 days before leaking just shows another PR nonsense by Shrike and Thakur to scaremonger.Just as expected there is nothing in the reliable cricinfo either. No surprise when these scumbags go to the low of trying to disrupt the indian cricket by lying to ECB.

Heck Thakur and Shirke couldnt do anything when Manohar was making every move hurting India's interset. He ripped up Srini's revenue sharing proposal, kept us out of the working comittee group and they just couldnt do a thing. So if this was true those imbeciles wouldnt have done anything to prevent it apart from just airing PR protest.

It is not as if BCCI will never return to the ICC meetings. If ICC could pass such a proposal as you are stating, what stopped it from doing it in the past? All the other members would love to get a pie of India TV rights..

Anyways, just wait and see till this meeting is done. Nothing is going to happen that will hurt Indian interests.

While the ICC has a department tasked with selling commercial rights to global tournaments, it has no authority to sell bilateral series. "Independence in decision-making in that group and also independence in terms of how the money is divided up is going to be really important," the source said. "If big countries are seen to be muscling little countries then the concept weakens.

"But it's got [to have] independent management and potentially governance that will position it as a genuine media player, rather than countries pursuing their own individual interests."

No one is selling India's rights :cantstop:
