BeautifulGame Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 Nun in test matches because they were useless to play real format I am talking about his dissing of genuine pacers in lois Mohit Sharma was one of the best bowlers in the world Cup.Played one proper series after that (vs SA) and then dropped and never picked again. So your accusation of nepotism is Dhoni picked bowlers who are better for the country rather than obsessing with speed gun . Makes sense now FYI only in test cricket pace is an essential criteria for success , in shorter formats skillful bowlers can always make up even if they don't have serious pace . Sidhoni 1

Cummins was quick but sprayed it around when he debut,he learnt the control aggression swing through his experience in internationals Talking about varun Aaron he has all the ingredients in him, he is quite capable of setting up a batter and then cleaning him : just watch him clean bowling moeen Ali on youtube Its luxury to have a bowler like him in queue but unfortunately initial part of his career is ruined by injury's and then dhoni acting as captain cool and mixing csks in team india Aaron has already spent more days in international cricket than Cummins.
speedheat Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 Aaron has already spent more days in international cricket than Cummins. Yes agreed but one shouldn't forget that his progress was stopped by injury's he always had potential though and he has immensely improved his accuracy also a top wicket taker for jharkhand in VH trophy and is in line for selections [emoji106] He is performing and its an luxury to have him in queue If you don't trust me then at least trust Shane warne wasim broad and English media who is in full praise for him express bowling 1
Cricketics Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 Not talking about Dhoni and co as don't know how discussion came back to Dhoni, but it is very true that ODI cricket is all about variations and not just about pace. Mitchell starc might not have the most amountof vsriations but henis just topc class fast bowlers in ODI's who's very hard to play with his Yorkers and other deliveries. It is all about variations in ODI cricket now. Players who lack variations or diffferent change up deliveries can only succeed if they have or are bowling good consistent line to their field, and most bowlers struggle to do that. Pace alone isn't why you will pick bowlers in ODI cricket. It is different than test cricket. India playing likes of Mohit Sharma thst time, wasn't any wrong decision. He did well for us at a time and even with lack of pace, bowled decent until someone else came and started performing better. It is very easy for people to bash recently dropped players about how slow they are and calling them trundler etc.
express bowling Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 (edited) Aaron should practice with the team just like many other pacers are doing. Then, our team management can gauge how good he is now and can guide him to improve further. He has improved his accuracy as is evident from his ER in most 4-day and one-day games starting from the A team tour of Australia in mid 2016. I am interested in knowing whether he has improved his ability to reverse the ball and set-up batsmen. If we are faced with a scenario that both Shami and Umesh are injured, then he maybe required in the team to add some genuine pace in the line-up. My first choice pacer to be tried next in test matches, is Aniket C though. Edited March 19, 2017 by express bowling Mosher 1
