Well, Shankar is a batting allrounder and Pandya is a bowling allrounder. So comparing just their bowling doesnt make sense.

Like I said just like binny . Batsman who bowls some trundle stuff .

Binny was neither a batsman nor a bowler. He was bits and pieces. Shankar is someone who has the potential to bat in top 6, averages 50 in domestic cricket.

So he is batsman who can bowl a bit of seam up

not a genuine seam international all rounder

There is nothing like international alrounder. You are either a batsman or a bowler first. A batsman who can bowl is called batting alrounder like Kalis was. A bowler who can bat is called bowling alrounder like Lance Klusner, Shaun Pollock, Kapil Dev, Imran Khan.

Vijay Shankar can be very handy  on a seaming pitch or swing friendly conditions.

There, an extra proper batsman often helps a lot and  his bowling will be much more potent in such conditions.

He is a tall guy and bowls a good bouncer too despite being a medium pacer.

Shankar is similar to Banger .He is a batsman who can bowl .

He can be a useful option in countries like England or Newzealand.

Only disappointment is from what I have seen he isn't a big hitter.Otherwise would have been a great option in ODIs as well.

But Bangar was more of a bowler who could bat, not a batsman.

Pandya captain? why? It should have been parthiv patel instead.. he is a back up wk for now and we may need him again if Saha gets injured or just as pure batsman.

I am a very big Pandya FAN. not just hardik but also Krunnal Pandya.

though I agree Hardik is probably the more talented and possibly the international quality player.. though on spinning tracks even krunnal can play for INDIA in t20's. but can krunnal be among the best 2 spinners in india- answer is NO.

but yes krunnal will be competition to Jadeja very soon.

Hardik is super talented...his pace varies from 129 k to 144k.

some body called him a lakdya but he is a pce bowler who can bowl 144k - trust me NO fast bowler in the world is WEAK.. even trundlers are strong enough.

a fast bowler or a medium pacer has to work double as hard as a Batsman...

his fielding- hardik is a superman and very close to Jadeja in fielding.

seems he is intelligent too and can captain INDIA one day and hence possibly he has been handed over this captaincy.. Good decision.

The india A squad against Australia for 3 day match

India A: Hardik Pandya (C), Akhil Herwadkar, Priyank Kirit Panchal, Shreyas Iyer, Ankit Bawne, Rishabh Pant, Ishan Kishan (WK), Shahbaz Nadeem, Krishnappa Gowtham, Kuldeep Yadav, Navdeep Saini, Ashok Dinda, Mohammed Siraj, Rahul Singh, Baba Indrajit

seeing this team from a pace bowler's perspective- after Ishant umesh shammi bhuvi Shardul Thakur....the guys next in line for test/odi are

DINDA

SIRAJ

Navdeep SAINI

AAron ( if he is fit and which is a BIG IF)

BRAN( I guess he is UNFIT and hence not being considered)

they are not considering nathu, aniket chowdhry, Sandeep singh or any other pacer.

Didn't Banger bat in the top order for Railways ?

He opened for us in test cricket in England tour 2002.

No. He did not bat in top order for Railways. That 2002 tour was just a makeshift arrangement.

K.I presumed solely based on where he batted for India .

Surprisingly for a bowling all rounder , his techqinue was pretty solid.
