Leg spinners can be finger spinners too. Kumble didn't use his wrist a lot, the reason he did not turn his leg breaks and was so accurate.

There was a leg spinner from Goa playing in SMA zonal matches, Ganeshraj Narvekar. He is also leg spinner but used his fingers to spin the ball than the wrist.

His wrist was stiffer and locked and was less in play.

Not at all . If wrist spinner then leggie or chinaman . Kumble was genuine leg spinner . Yes not great turn and more top spin but all wrist spin stuff
vishalvirsingh Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 My XI would be: Vijay Rahul Pujara Kohli Karun Nair...cant bench some one who has hit a triple century in the last test. Ashwin Saha Jadeja Kuldeep Umesh Yadav. Ishant

Kumble used to bowl from 90 k to 108k tall bowler, was more of a Quickish Slow bowler and not a Spinner or turner. if the Batsman was Disciplined and played straight ..he could play him well but his scoring would get choked, so batsman had to try out and start playing shots and take risks , that's when he got wickets. I have faced a Fastish Spinner.. its always tough to handle fastish accurate Spinners but not unplayable. they should be played as slow medium pacers. some times his balls did turn a lil.

Ankit_sharma03 Posted February 8, 2017 Author Posted February 8, 2017 Kohli- “He has been doing well in the domestic circuit, so him being called is not a surprising thing for anyone. He has been in the reckoning and did well in the warm-up game against England. Obviously, he brings something different to the table. A leg spinner brings variety, so does a chinaman. I don’t know how things will shape up. We have a set of four spinners and Mish has been doing well but he got injured. He will stay in our scheme of things: and so are a few more players from the domestic circuit. I hope Kuldeep can make a big difference at some stage”. At some stage, not a very encouraging sign from captain
