maniac Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 Nice to know cricket is played at a university level...heard of presence of cricket in the South(not the leagues played by Desis) among the local population from a friend who was raised in Memphis....VA vs Tx not surprising...but then again I saw the website,Northwestern and some other institutes listed there....looks like made up of mostly expats

The organizer tried hard to get TV channels to show his game etc. But one problem about the organizee was his cringeworthy attititude of trying to promote cricket like making players share the tournament news on their facebook walls. He used to award points to teams based on that. Having bullshyt rules like no "wide" on leg side. He changed the wide rule by allowing bowlers to bowl down the leg a bit till certain distance. All players are students who pay a lot of money to play in this tournament as not every team gets supported by their university or college, so many pay from their pcket to fly into Florida and compete in the national championship which takes place in March. At times, it used to piss many teams of that they used to face such crazy rules and point systems after having spent so much money to travel to Florida. At times there were teams who won all their games in the group stage but did not qualify for the next round because two teams ended up at same points some how and one had to be knocked out even after winnig all such games. These are the kind of bullshyt things organizer pulld it off in last 8 years od ACC. His idea of ACC was ood but he is too rigid and this way you can not promote Americna College cricket ever. maniac 1

If you know American history, White people are not real Americans. People outside USA think that Americans mean "white people." No, Native Americans who were wrongly mistaken and called "Indians" by Christoher Columbus, were the first people in USA. They were anything but white people. White people came here like brits came to India to loot and take over. White is majority here but does not mean they are Americans only. America was open land to all and hence black, white, brown or whatever color is as American as anyone.

I used to love wwe/wwf back in the days in 90s as a kid. Never took interest when I permanently moved overseas since I started missing cricket more here. I still wstvh occasional events like roual rumble and stuff for time pass but used to be a crazy fan of wwe during bret hart, rock etc era.
