flat_wicket_bully Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 Excellent death bowling by both Southee and Boult which won them the match
flat_wicket_bully Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 Southee kept bowling those wide yorkers which made it difficult for Phehlukwaya

Game wasn't over till the last over but Boult's over put South Africa on the backfoot again. Ironaically he was the one who got them back too by dropping Pretorius earlier.

Boult over was the one who turned the match in NZ favour. Bowling all 6 balls as yorkers in such a pressure situation was excellent to watch Edited February 22, 2017 by atishvaze
Sidhoni Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 AB comes in at 108/3 with SA needing just about 6 RPO for some 28 overs and a set De Kock to bat with and fails. Dhoni would win you 9.5/10 matches like these coming at similar situation. Rasgulla 1

To be fair You are only partly right....if the target is 200-250,yes Dhoni will finish it off 9.5/10,but if it is 300+,then expect him to be 60*(90) to get India to a score of 240.

Target was 290 here if that is what you're saying. This was a chase eerily similar to WC final chase with 15 runs more but pressure was 10000 X lesser. Coming in at about 110/3 with a set opener and having 6 RPO to chase. Also for chasing 300+ if we consider the difference in eras he has his fair share of chasing high totals. Chased down 300 11.5 years ago single handedly, and not surprisingly he came in at 3 then. That score today is equivalent to 350 minimum. My point is you can't expect no. 6 batsman to chase down 350 without support. Jadhav almost pulled it off with a freak innings and that was because he had Kohli playing brilliantly with him.
