It will be interesting to see who will be the VP as well. The VP will have the responsibility of cleaning out RSTV. Hopefully they put an uber-troll like Swamy.

He's busy taking badla in courts. He is better off doing that imo.

Cracks in the Opposition is open ahead of this crucial election. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, BSP chief Mayawati, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik and AIADMK’s O Pannerselvam faction have hinted their support for NDA candidate Ram Nath Kovind. The Congress, however, still hopes that Nitish, who could have been a crucial plank in an Opposition grand alliance ahead of the Presidential election, would support Opposition’s nominee.

The coming together of archrivals BSP and SP to support the candidature of Meira Kumar as president could be a crucial step towards further consolidating anti-BJP forces in Uttar Pradesh, say political observers.

And half of these political observers saw a big Akhilesh wave in UP & other half, a big silent vote for BSP. We seriously can't make any political alliances based on this one election.

Today, political observers and common man have the similar political understanding. But these observers act neutral when they are completely biased.

Making an emotional appeal to MPs and MLAs, Opposition presidential candidate Meira Kumar on Sunday urged them to cast their votes with their "inner conscience".

She also said the President's post cannot be used for narrow political interests.

Taking a leaf from former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi's appeal made during the 1974 presidential poll in favour of V V Giri, Kumar said, "This is that moment when one should heed the inner voice of conscience and set the course of the nation."

Nobel Laureate Amartya Sen has said that Congress lost in the game of tactics versus the BJP by nominating Meira Kumar as the opposition’s candidate after the saffron party had already picked Dalit leader Ram Nath Kovind for the upcoming poll.

The stage is all set for the election of the 14th President of India on Monday in a contest in which National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate Ram Nath Kovind has a clear edge in the electoral college over the opposition nominee Meira Kumar.
