Cricket trump cards
Wasim v Sachin. Azhar v Border. Kapil v Hadlee. These were epic battles in the world of cricket trump cards, available at petrol stations or with a packet of bubblegum, at least in India. Some cards came with nuggets of trivia about a player. "Did you know - Kapil Dev's favorite singer is, believe it or not, Mohinder Amarnath." "Did you know - Allan Border was a clerk and motorcar company representative." Bored in school? Not if someone had a pack of cricket trump cards on them.

we all must have had collections of centre fresh cards and big fun cricket cards, plus there used to be a coca cola flip book of ganguly hitting a six , talking about in india ofcourse

1. Reverse swing in ODIs. Thank you gora boards for the 2 new ball rule. Made batting ridiculously easy in ODIs.

2. Strict rules on chucking, bye bye doosra/teesra/chautha. Okay, if chucking is illegal, then so are high tech bats as well as super flat pitches and small boundaries.

3. Excessive amount of cricket being played and commercialization.

4. When cricketers did not look like Greek gods. Kapil Dev, Sachin, Dravid and etc. were all fit in the sense they could play 5 day cricket. While Kohli, Hardik Pandya and etc. have exceptional fitness standards, they resemble more as MMA fighters than normal cricketers.
