"HAS BEENS"Forcing Kohli to open,Is it unfair on him?

Recommended Posts

Kohli is arguably the best T20 batsman in the world and he has been successful at no.3.Why make him open?

He is being forced to Open so that has beens like Raina and Yuvraj can play.

I can understand,Dhoni being a Wk/batsman being in the team but Why is Raina in the team?He is overweight and out of shape and has been work.Yuvraj may still have something to give the team in ODI format, but its clear that he can no longer come out and hit from the word go,he needs time to settle before he can do that. That cannot happen in T20.

In midst of this we are losing matches and spoiling Kohli's form.

You are forced to do things for the team.Clearly the reason Pant isnt playing because he will outperform the oldies and then they cant drop him.

So you saying Kohli hasnt got the guts to drop oldies and back young talent, right?

Again its his own decision, hows he forced

Team management.Manger, coach, senior players.Kohli is barely 2 weeks old as a LOI captain.

He's the captain. Its his decision and accountability only.Hes not being forced into anything

IIRC Dhoni was a month old into ODI captaincy when he dropped Ganguly and Dravid

Dhoni became T20 captain in 2007.So he was already handling the LOI team and had won a world title.Kohli hasnt.

Its his accountability yes,but not his decision alone.

Kohli has been test captain for nearly 2 years .He is currently the most influential cricketer in Indian cricket.

If he wants to drop a player from the XI, no one can stop him.Not coach, team management , anyone .
