The fire in Pat Cummins rubbed on Umesh

I observe persons and personalities very closely and i am pretty sure Pat has invigorated Umesh.....

I dont have proof for my theory......

But if you observe very carefully, both these bowlers are similar in lot of aspects....and no wonder there will comparisons and that should have served as the fire for Umesh to perform better

Ohh boy, didn't it worked?? IN-fact, this is the most fiery spell by any Indian pace bowler....Hopefully, this is just a start....

Mr. Kohli, your dream of creating a dangerous bowling attack is worked out.....

Already 2 world class Pace bowlers (Shami & Umesh) are representing india......Now, one more to go.....

I wouldn't put Shami on the list yet. The guy's barely fit to play couple of series. I'm afraid Shami may need to focus on shorter formats as he doesn't have the durability to play Tests.

Shami played his last 10 test matches on the trot without any break.

Injuries are part and parcel of genuine fast bowlers'  lives.

Look at Starc, Cummins, Steyn, Morkel, Johnson, Mark Wood, Adam Milne.

Lillee, Thomson, Wasim, Waqar, Lee, Akhtar..... all had injury riddled careers.  But they went on to become greats of the game.

Shami is our best Test fast bowler. We cant win overseas with just Yadav alone.

True. We need Shami to be at his best and backed up by Bhuvi with Pandya as the fast bowling all-rounder on seam-friendly pitches. Jadeja or Ashwin can be one of the spinners.

For a professional sportsperson, fitness and durability are of prime importance.
