Vaas- Left arm swing bowler

Mahroof- Right arm swing bowler, who had good cutters

Fernando- Tall hit the deck bowler, who bowled in the chest.

Murali- This murali had doosra and had an upper hand on indian batsman for few yrs unlike before 1999 where sidhu sachin use to smash him 

Sanath- Left arm slow bowler , very underrated one

chandan- Leg spinners

He finished the game by 46 over, those days chasing 300 was not easy 

 

I rate Sharjah innings of Tendulkar very highly, but dhoni finished the game and in the end thats what matters. For me thats one huge point there itself. 

 

About meaningless bilateral - well a youngster who is in 1st yr of international cricket doesnt take any game as meaningless . Those days we were not in a habbit of chasing 300. 

For me this game ended the Pscholgical edge of SL over India and murali, like wise was wc2003 game against pak 

 

Another Point ill add- In case of virat's innings well (again not demaning that inning at all ) there was dew and pakistan did field horribly . Even though their attack with ajmal was supreme but poor fielding does help. Kohli did had scores from sachin n rohit. Dhoni did it all alone

 

No disrespect to kohli or ganguly;s innings - but these are small small point tht makes me rate dhoni's innings highly

Thank you for posting the highlights! I saw them all again and I enjoyed watching all three. 

Tough to choose between kohli and dhoni. Dada was sublime on the off side and his innings was the most non violent of all. I loved dhoni owning the Lankans, that was the aggro that made Dhoni the star he is. Kohli was against Pakistan, so under most pressure, I would rate that highest

Bro, why so much of hatred for Dhoni? Even m not a very big fan of Dhoni, still will always acknowledge his immense contribution to Indian cricket. What kind of backstage politics u mean? Did he support any particular lobby ever?? Did he show preference for Jharkhand or East zone players, did he ever look like giving chances to less deserving player ahead of more talented players?? U may say Rohit Sharma or Jadeja were given extended run once despite failing repeatedly, but we have now got the results of persisting with those two.. we can say Manoj Tiwari deserved more chances, particularly after scoring an odi century, but the team was studded with established batsmen n Tiwari could be accomodated only when any of the main XI batsmen got injured.. people blame him for including CSK players in team India, but players like Ashwin, Raina, Jadeja deserve to play on their merit n we can't question their place in team India.. if he had done politics, Saurav Tiwari would hv been our main batsman now.. exclusion of Gambhir, Sehwag n bhajji can't be called politics, coz they failed big time n were given enough chances, but failed to capitalise.. the way he has been patient n persistent with Yuvi, if our earlier captains had shown such patience n support, Vinod kambli would hv finished his career with lot more dignity n far better stats..

That 28 (25) turns out to b match winning innings, given they lost 4 more immediately after Dhoni's dismissal and given ABD, if u leave out the boundaries, could score only 13 off 27... even smith was no better... watson n Jadhav were even worse..

All debuted under Dhoni (that is, when Dhoni was still full time captain in LOIs). Rahul and Jadhav debuted even before they played for RCB.
