jalebi_bhai Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 Ganguly 1999: Dhoni 2005: Kohli 2012: Neither of them were captains when they played their innings though. Very hard for me to pick my favourite. All three were top quality innings but I've gone with Dhoni 2005. Entertainment factor plus the fact that we won that series. Sidhoni and sscomp32 2

BeautifulGame Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 Ganguly's because it came in a world cup match under pressure. It was a do or die game for us. Lose that match we would have been knocked out of world cup
Sidhoni Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 Didn't see Ganguly's innings live. Dhoni's 183* goes down as one of the world's best innings. The sheer percentage of runs he scored (183 out of 300) was amazing. Considering the difference in eras, that innings is equivalent to scoring 210-220 while chasing 350 in today's cricket. sscomp32 and Rasgulla 2
Ankit_sharma03 Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 MSD one was the best for me overall, ill pick that innings over any odi innings by an indian batsman Alone scored above 50 in the 1st year of cricket Against a complete attack Sl had good fielding side to...... HAd a cramp while he was batting at 70 yet finished the game sscomp32, kira, Rasgulla and 2 others 4 1
zen Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 I recall watching the first two. Kohli's, may have followed it on cricinfo. Below is my take on the innings: Ganguly and Dravid got a great partnership going. Draid took the charge in the partnership, allowing Ganguly to play himself in. Dravid got out at 145. Ganguly then took over to get to 183 Dhoni's was a demolition job that caught SL off guard Kohli's 183 helped Ind chase a huge total All of them are fabulous performances. But if I have to pick one, it would be the chasing effort by Kohli vs arch rivals Pak
BCCI Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 Really tough to choose between Kohli's and Dhoni's innings.

I picked kohli because it came against pakistan, they way he destroyed the Pakistani attack was an absolute joy to watch. Ganguly played a better knock as it came in the world cup in england when the pressure was on but I enjoyed kohli's knock way more that's why kohli>=Ganguly for me. Dhoni's knock was cool but it came in random bilateral against lanka (the most boring series on earth) on an Indian ground, it was a good knock but nothing compared the other 2. sscomp32, raki05 and DDfan2017 2 1

I clearly said ill choose it over any innings, my choice. Dhoni finished the game sachin didnt on both occasion so yea i have my reasons 13 minutes ago, zen said: Well, there is Kapil's 175 as well May be the greatest but i havent seen it sscomp32, DDfan2017 and Sidhoni 3

DDfan2017 Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 The comparison becomes biased if many of the guys hv not watched the Dada's innings in 1999 WC.. I vote for Dada's 183 as it came in England, not on an Asian batting paradise. I agree the field was small, still given the pitch condition, the big stage of a World Cup game, against quality bowlers like Chaminda Vaas and Muralitharan, I will rate that innings higher than the other two.. raki05 1
