Just a stat . Food for thought ? Playing Devils advocate . I also feel for World Cup drop him and groom kids

but since his comeback in Jan 2017 average of 45 with strike rate of 102 .

Dhoni averages 50+ with a SR of 100+ too in that period.

And he isnt a liability on the field either and WK.But he is a pathetic broken Helicopter and Yuvi we are playing devil's advocate :hysterical:

Fact:  Take that 150 run out of his inning and Yuvi has scored just 461 runs in 28 games at an average of about 20 runs. Even McCullum scored a hundred in his last test game. That doesnt mean its not time to retire. People should learn from Sanga. His scores in last five innings runup to retirement 105* 117* 104 124 45

I thought Sanga failed in his last 2 Test series though. But, I agree that Yuvi's record (over a long time) has been quite atrocious

Kohli got him back to Odis... He is the sole reason he is still there

Since 2011 WC, using Statsguru I found:

Kohli: Avg 59 @ SR 95 (outstanding)

"Rohit" Sharma: Avg 51 @ SR 88 (excellent stats)

Dhawan: Avg 45 @ SR 91 (excellent)

Dhoni: Avg 55 @ SR 92 (outstanding, but has been declining since last 2-3 years)

Raina: Avg 35 @ SR 98 (his SR is very good, but could be more consistent)

Rahane: Avg 34 @ SR 80 (below par, both avg and SR wise)

Sir Jaddu: Avg 32 @ SR 89

The worst 2 offenders are:

Yuvi: Avg 26 @ SR 90

Tendu: Avg 31 @ SR 81 (but we know that he faded away almost completely once the 2011 WC ended)

Clearly shows that one could just swap Jaddu for Yuvi.

I just checked... This is true

SRT also played only 10 matches sporadically. Hence, in my opinion, the biggest two "regular" culprits since 2011 WC are Yuvi and Rahane in that order with Yuvi leading by a big margin; Raina has scored at the required modern SR of 100, but I wish he was a bit more consistent.

Dhoni last Five years

50 Average with 90 SR

He had bad 2016

--------

Yuvi has been worse actually Even jaddu has 34 average in last 5 yrs

Jaddu lacks firepower to score at 110-120 SR in closing overs. Given how bad Yuvi is doing, and if they want to retain Jaddu, they should just swap the two. Dhoni at 4, Jadhav at 5, and Jaddu at 6, with Pandya at 7.

Based on that This should be the Top 7 for Next 2 years

Dhawan

Rohit

Kohli

Dhoni

Pant

Kedar

Pandya

If its a Spinning conditions will take Jaddu at 8... Deep batting order

Pant for Yuvi should fix everything here

I hope Pant will prove to be good enough to play at 5 or 6. Seems to me that Jadhav is being wasted at 6; would prefer to see him bat at 5. Dhoni has to play at 4 and no lower.

Jaddu should not bat, IMO, anywhere lower than 6 (or 7 at most). He lacks the ball-striking ability of Pandya or the innovative strokeplay of Jadhav. If he plays in the team, he should come it at 6/7.
