May be I think this way because I have grown up overseas and not in India, and feel connected to the country more when the ICC EVENT game of India and Pakistan is around the corner and all my sadak paar friends here are starting to discuss etc about who will win or what could happen.

 

For me India vs Pakistan in an ICC event is always big and will always remain big. Its close to me and something I will always look forward to even though games continue to go one way. Yesterday's game ended on a boring note, but a month later I will remember that we beat Pak and not that we won a boring game.

 

I love beating Pakistan and look forward to beating them always and will hope to do the same in 2019 In England when we meet again. It will always be special for me.

nice and but pak india do not have a rivalry now. Ind has bigger one with Aus even one with Eng is more serious on the ground. Somehow pak feels less threatening than BD.

by this logic should we also discard the 85-00 period when pak dominated ,then whats left?

 

 

India have always won in ICC events no matter what. I think 2004 aside in champions trophy.

 

Take that chase in 2003 v Pakistan. Good score good bowlers and it took a special chase for the Indians to win.

 

Both matches in T20 WC. Even now Pak remains a good T20 outfit. So beating them in that format it a good achievement.
