The point is India's score was well below par on these types of wickets. People still think 320 is a winning score. Its not anymore.

This is highest chase ever by sl shows how poor bowlers were... you stick to 90s era watching sachin

Sounds like a multi

Bhuvi is the only one who took wicket and mad another run out.

Yadav wastes the new ball and bowls rubbish at the death and no mention of it.

h diff

The hypocrisy :rotfl:

55-1, 65-0...they are the kind of performances that both should go into garbage can.

Gunaratne came did not score of first 3 balls of Yadav. Then he scored 6 and a single and then hit Bumrah for six and Bhuvi next over .So I can't comprehend how u blame yadav and think we could have defended 7 runs.Problem was not Yadav ,Jaddu was hammered today and could not compete his quota he had a bad day.

I blame Umesh for bowling a p*ss poor short delivery when Gunaratne was all at see. That 6 from Gunaratned pretty much finish off any hopes we had as the RR after that came around 7.

There is no restricting the batsmen on these pattas. We need bowlers who can take wickets at crucial times. Bhuvi is a defensive bowler. He doesn't leak many runs but he doesn't  take much wickets either. Bumrah is the same. Ideally only one of them should play. As of now Bhuvi is better, so the three seamers should be Bhuvi, Shammi and Yadav.

It defied logic 99 percent of teams would chase 7 rpo.Just forget the Yadav hate you would see we lost the match earlier.

There was no edge of Bhuvi ,ball hardly beat the bat.Yadav was tight in his first 4 overs.

Yes tight he was.But don't look like threatening to take a wicket and then once it got easier after 6-7 overs he started bowling rubbish and released all the pressure in the next two overs.

Point is he didn't take any wicket and release the pressure by bowling poor length when we were building it up .

54-1 off 10 overs and 67-0 off 9.4 overs are NOT similar type of performances. Shows how one eyed you are when you make such kind of statements.

So Bumrah should be replaced whereas the legendary "phaast" bowler Umesh should stay in the team!

Again I don't think u watched the match. There was no movement so they went for creating pressure .Yadav hardly went for 5 RPO in his initial.overs.Problem was Jaddu not picking wickets and going at 8.

Yeah and I can see the "clear headed" logic in calling out Bhuvi with worst bowler on display (umesh) gets a free ride :giggle:

Maybe you should read the OP of the thread in which you are posting for once.

I don't agree with op.Attack was good for conditions .

If u can't take wickets with new ball and keeping out one of the best new ball wicket takers in the world then yes Umesh Yadav is a problem.

We will not be this lucky against England if we happen to face them in finals. Ashwin is in a very poor form and add to his fitness issues. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is not a reliable option either. We need Yadav & Shami, who on their day are capable enough to take out the top order batsmen.
