I think they had a plan A which you could argue is a tad defensive against Fakhar , but it wasnt a bad one . He could have got out a dozen times before he got to his 30s . you have to be extremely unlucky to let some one like Fakhar get a 100 against you . There was no plan B though , they kept bowling at his pads and they over did it to such an extent that from a piss poor player on legside Fakhar started looking decent with his slogs on oneside towards the end of his innings .lol

 

The rest I agree , I have seen enough of Virat to say that we cannot win consistently under him . Picking Rohit and Dhawan ahead of VJ and Pujara in a test match , that from me was a done deal . Thats not some thing you will learn with experience , its just plain lack of understanding of the game or having wrong priorities . Funny cos as a batsmen you will not find a better example of game awareness than VK .

Don't know why we kept having a slip for Ashwin who was looking to tuck the batsman up

We did not play even one of Shami or Umesh.... 2 bowlers with  high wickets per match ratio in  ODIs in this current Indian team  and two of the fastest Indian bowlers.

 

This was an indication towards the defensive tactics for the match.

Jadeja was one dimensional and without plan b

Bumrah panicked like a deer in front of headlights

Bhuvi is a good bowler but not deadly like amir

Pandya was determined and gave his level best

Really it's just one match but many fans have lost all sense. Over reacting also has it limits and hindsight is the worst reason. Trivial OP
