This new season of Ranji Trophy 2017-18 does away with the two tier system and all the 28 teams will start equally. Seven teams each are grouped in four groups and top two teams will proceed to the quarter finals. BCCI has also done away with neutral venue concepts, though the knock out games will be played at neutral venues. So, they are not pushing him in Rajni. Khaleel Ahmed will make his debut this year who himself is a good prospect. Same was the case with MP. Avesh will play this year. tweaker 1
