Nope but they should. Its not bad to take credit.

Its actually class-less to take credit for others accomplishments.   Even if you may have contributed marginally.   Its basically a non-economic version of hafta-vasuli - only resorted to by insecure bullies who don't have accomplishments of their own.

Fair enough. But I will take credit anyways. Good moralities are overrated.

You can "take" all you want.  Funny thing about credit though, you don't actually get it by "taking".  It actually only acrues when you earn it.  Empty claims and 2 cents will only get you laughed at.   Ask Trump.

^add Nepal to it as well..

We should be doing more to help the Nepali cricket team - let them play in Indian domestics.  In the past, toygers played with a bunch of Ranji teams.  NZ have been sending teams to participate in Buchi Babu tournament often.   India should let the Nepalis access some of the facilities in India when its winter in Nepal, and provide them opportunities to play against plate level Ranji teams.   Teams like Assam, J&K, etc will actually benefit from playing such games too, so its not all just charity for the Nepalis.

I would love to see a foreign associate team invited to India for tours.

My bad, but my point was to Pakistani's in general ,that the mess was created by them in Afghanistan, I think they tried to take advantage of situation created by both Americans and ruskis only to make Afghans angry, anyway it's not my fault, but tere naam se hi Pakistani vibes aati hai.

I use to think of you as padosi.

Yup u are right will do them world of good, regarding Afghanistan, I liked the look of their spinners especially mujeeb, looks really good a mystery spinner, batters looked absolutely clueless against him.

Looks like they absolutely hammered Pakistan in the U19 finals today.

They seem to have some raw upcoming talent, lot of passion and a decent pool of cricketers to be really competitive at the highest level. Also they are producing players now who seem to be getting exposure due to franchise cricket.

I don’t think they are good enough to start winning in Test cricket but definitely think they will be a force in LOI cricket especially T20s.

And although it is just against UAE, this performance in the 4-day match is dominating so far!

Its UAE.  i.e. a bunch of part-timers who actually have full-time day jobs apart from cricket.   I would expect the likes of Nepal to similarly pound UAE.

Agreed. But I have not been paying enough attention to AFG's progress until recently, and this was news!  Nepal?  Other than their U-19 victory over India U-19, I haven't heard much.

The reason why Afghanistan evolution is a great story because, teams like Ireland,Scotland,Netherlands,Kenya,UAE etc etc have been in the 3rd tier ever since I can remember(I.e since the 90s)...hell even Uganda,Papu New Guinea,Fiji,USA etc etc have Competed in these associate tournaments and once in a while have had chances to play international teams.

I did not even realize that  there was a cricket culture in Afghanistan till the mid 200s.

Today they have achieved test status..They have  a couple of world class limited over players and seem to compete in every opportunity they are given.

I think they have the quickest turnaround to get to the test level that I have ever seen.
