I believe conditions matter more in cricket than just a team. Same poor team had us 120/5 in one test.

And I agree with you. However, I also feel that batsmen are unsuccessful in alien conditions not just because of lack of acclimatization, but also because of psychological fear and fear of failure. 

 

When you have a weaker team, you already have conquered a part of that fear. Hence I mentioned about the weaker team.
