All three Aus bowlers dont bowl bad balls. While both Shami and Yadav has the habit of bowling too many boundary balls. Also, those three pacers are all 6'3 and over. We will need taller guys and than BK, Umesh, Shami as all three are 5'10' or shorter. At least, 1-2 taller bowlers. Shami can play if doing well and fit. Need to try Ankit Rajpoot, Aniket Chaudhary before that, two 6'3 and 6'4 bowlers, can bowl mid to high 80s. Navdeep Saini is another good option. doubt if they are accurate enough, esp rajpoot.

He was inconsistent but he bowled the fastest deliveries from the English side and a couple of spells touched 140's but still looked ordinary. Overton whenever I saw trundled at 125ks but I missed the part where apparently he did bowl decently. The only guy I saw who looked somewhat threatening whenever I saw him bowl was Anderson(only compared to his team mates)

rtmohanlal Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 the difference in avg: bowling speed is only 5.91 in favour of Australia. That is really a nothing difference when both teams could maintain such high average bowling speeds. That highlights one important point. Those missile deliveries Aussies could generate so often when compared to the English have made all the difference to the over all nature of this Ashes context .
putrevus Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 ^^^ that extra 5 MPH difference is what is making scoreline 3-0 in favour of Australia. There is whole article on BBC on what that extra 5 MPH is all about. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/42287181
