Seems like you are watching a different vid...he started by saying 'galti se kya?' galti means mistake. Before the video recording, the girl seems to have told him 'galti se ride book/cancel ho gaya' ....And look at his tone

The girl did fine here. Did well to have the presence of mind to record also. You are in a small minority. Listen to it again and imagine your dear ones in place of this girl to maybe change your opinion.

Shockingly bad behaviour. Gunda type.

Are you a mod here? Few of my posts have been deleted in this thread. May I ask why?

The last one to be deleted was siddaramaiah govt making Urdu fluency compulsory for anganwadi teachers in some areas.

Again with the family thing. There are two girls , one was sensible to say galti ho gaya, the other one threatened to go to the police.  He said ok let’s go, that’s when the girl started to say why should we come with you, we will go to another police station. In Kannada, he says they canceled after saying they are coming. I’d still advice to avoid such silly confrontations .  That one girl who apologized was the sensible one. He got his punishment in the end.

The auto driver has a family to feed. I get his anger. Just that his behaviour is unacceptable n criminal.

Sometimes it is the network issue, phone issue, app issue, issue at driver end, issue at consumer end, some confusion, lags, delays etc. ..

you can't keep saying sorry to someone who is abusing and shouting at you. That too in a male vs female situation. She is the one defending not confronting.

I guess I was hallucinating abt the siddaramaiah post, it is there. Sorry.

I trust you. The other one I was referring to was where I commented about posting history of another poster....I guess that could be classified as personal attack. Maybe thats also not deleted. No big deal  if that one got deleted too.

On top of that some posters are connecting such a rude behaviour with Hindi imposition (that is what is being discussed).

Do you think he would have behaved the same way in front of a Kannadathi? Absolutely not. I don't know how many times I've canceled my ride.

They do see the news on what's happening in banks and other establishments all over Karnataka, like the one below.

He was trying to bully the young ladies. I doubt if he would have acted that way if it were a male, speaking in whatever language.

What I'm about to say is very blunt/rude but it's the truth.

Kannada natives let it go this far. I'd love to see some asshole try this in TN.

Do you really think news like this doesn’t influence people's behavior?

Not in a professional set up. Money knows no language. Money from those Hindi speaking ladies does not become different.  For money, people can learn a language.

If someone is angry at Hindi speaking people, he/she should not look to accept their business.

That's not how the real world works.

I am not sure that you understand the real world if trying to connect random bad behavior incidences with your narrative and even justifying it.

^ These are low quality people who don’t need a reason for bad behavior.

Auto drivers and bus conductors are the ones interacting with migrants daily. Just last week, a migrant stabbed a bus conductor. Incidents and news like these inevitably shape their behavior.

So to extend such a behaviour, tomorrow if a Hindi speaking person orders food in a South Indian restaurant, he can expect to face rude behavior?

Say he/she cancels the order and moves out for whatever reason.

Call out people for their rudeness!

Hindi or other regional migrants to Bengaluru are excellent law abiding, hard working people. Any place's dream to have such migrants.  Canada, Europe, Australia etc will take such migrants with folded hands in comparison to the some radical folks that they have been taking in.

Anyways, haters are typically non-productive, rather destructive people. So are the Hindi haters. They would be worshipping the Hindi speaking migrants (out of their guilt) if they got rid of their hatred.

Buddy, “they” are judging Hindi speakers in “their” region from “their” PoV based on “their” experiences.
