Why aren't Indian test players settled in the format yet even in 30s?

Kohli's failure is England is highlighted. Dravid spent entire career struggling in SA. Wasn't great in SL and did well in Aus in 1 series. Ponting struggled in India - how is he different from Kohli then.

Dravid did well in SA in 96.

Who is youngest test bat debutant for India recently ? Would prefer him to play at least one Ranji season

No need. He has already showed he has excellent temperament to buckle down and bat long. Facing Vinay kumars, Dindas, Unadkats why does he have to practice against these guys.

this was a golden oppertunity  to test a youngster like Iyer,Gill or Shaw instead  of that proven failure hack Pujara. Instead he was called back from  county to play in this test. Just can't digest what these selecters are thinking and doing ....

There is not a single test batsman today who can score runs in all conditions. Root struggles in Australia, Kohli is yet to perform well against swing and Steven Smith has issues with lateral movement as well.

The previous generation greats like Sachin, Lara, Dravid and Ponting who scored in all conditions do not exist now.

Ponting flopped against spinners in India.

Only srt, Lara, kallis, rsd, sanga, kp had technique for all the conditions.
